Of course it was staged, it was for an ad.
No person would make that face the lass on the left is doing in real life.
Combine her reaction with the simultaneous reaction of the guido and Action Jackson on the right and you have "staged".
Not to mention the quality of the photo, back in those days, people rarely took pictures with their cellphone.

There's a video of Dexter Jackson guest posing in which a woman does just that.

That was from one of the magazines, probably a Weider one. Street scenes were really popular posed shots in bodybuilding magazines of the early 90's especially. Usually done to look like California (East Coast is too cold and blue collar for them), They'd have disgusted shocked old people, shocked jealous boys/young men, and admiring girls.

Love the ads where shocked people held their hands on their faces a la "Home Alone".

No it was from ironman magazine. the article was about a woman dating a bodybuilder in contest prep and he wouldn't eat or drink anything because it was going to mess his prep. he started getting hungry and he couldn't wait any longer so he began mixing protein powder with tuna and it totally grossed her out. that photo was taken by Michael Nevaux

Really? Do you think they paid Carl Weathers extra to be in this ad?
