Title: 2018 Olympia - Phil Heath - Should he have won?
Post by: Coach is Back! on September 19, 2018, 05:40:03 PM
Make the case for thinking he should have won....go!

I'd cool it with the Heath threads. Ron's been melting at me via PMs all evening about sparing the gift's feelings and cutting down on the threads about him on the board. They're all marked for deletion atm.

Phil is a national treasure
He is the foundation of bodybuilding
His presence has shaped the industry in a way never seen before
I sincerely apologize for any comments I may have made about Phillip Heath in the past
I feel he is the rightful winner and I suggest an investigation be started to determine what transpired
I would like to start a GoFundMe to help Phil with his bills-due to him losing at the show

Phil has an exceptional rear double bicep pose, good rear lat spread, epic most-muscular poses. Huge arms. His triceps dwarf Rhoden’s tri’s. He has a lot of roundness to offset his narrowness. His quads made Roelly’s legs look really weak. Seems to carry more muscle than Rhoden.

But Rhoden looks healthier and younger... even though he is older. Rhoden has much more of an X-Frame. Rhoden is wider and has better taper. Looks more athletic.

There are some that thought he should have won, personally, I don't think so.

Heath sucks more ass than Richard Simmons at a San Francisco bath house.  There you go.

He looks fukkin' horrible and is a jerk off... good riddance.

The truth is, talking "shit" about the Philsbury Schmoeboy is talkin' truth.  Fuck him.

I don't think any getbiggers think he should have won.  It's like the one thing in the world we all collectively agree on.

Don't bother.  Phil is like a white-washed tomb.  All nice and clean on the outside but filled with the rot of a lifetime of crap on the inside.

Yes, seven Sandows is something of an accomplishment but then so too, is the love of a good woman and for all intents and purposes, Phildo threw his good woman away and that when she needed him most.  There are more honorable men out in the real world, men working two or three low paying jobs to provide for their family.

Phil works to provide for his ego.  I doubt that thing could ever be satisfied. Phuck Phil.

Well, try to start an honest thread and in usual getbig fashion, it backfires like you assholes know him personally. Set your "feelings" aside and make the case that he should have won. This is like dealing with a bunch of manic inmates off of their meds ::)

You can go after Phil Heath all you want, but let his ex-wife out of it. She is out of the public now, and like anyone's wife and kids - we just leave them out of our crazy world.

He has a girlfriend, and she was the only melting on social media when he lost. That's who I was referring to. Who cares about the semantics, I was obviously making a joke and you took it way too seriously. But like I told you in PMs, it's your board, so if you want to 86 all the threads you don't like, be my guest. I think it's self-defeating on your part.

His girl did melt on social media - although it was deleted by the morning of the seminar.  Did you copy what it was?

Truth be told perhaps Flex Lewis could also have beaten Phil this year. Maybe even Shawn!

Look at the striations in his glutes! No homo, of course.

Why exactly? Because he has plenty of Olympia titles already (7) and failed to win N:8,while at the same time all the rest in the line up(except for Dexter) don't have a single one? Phil is actually enjoying denying these guys the chance to win the title,he brands himself as #dreamkiller so I don't feel sorry for him now when his dream to match the record was killed. I would've rather feel sorry for Shawn if the judges didn't give him the title he rightfully won.

No not for losing. I think Shawn deserved to win. I feel a little sorry for him because of how people are in the industry and all these threads. I know how it feels to lose and with social media it would be much worse.

He should’ve retired after the gift of 1st place last year.

Also, being a whopping 24" wide didnt help either

Toney smokes Shawn

He does? I don't see any area of Toney's body that Trumps Shawn's, other than its length (he was 4" taller). Maybe arms, but Rhoden's were a lot bigger and sharper in 2018. Shawn's waist is way smaller also.

Really? Let us just do a quick rundown on a few body parts. It's hard to compare size because it's two separate pictures in different settings but look at each one's right arm in the same position. From biceps, especially triceps, forearms and overall separation and conditioning Toney wins. Same with the left side. Toney has better conditioning.

Toney has a right pec tear but it's not so bad. Better separation and striations than Rhoden. Rhoden has a better quad sweep but again Toney's quads are better conditioned with more separation. Toney's calves are not as good as Rhoden's not very good calves but hardly a deal breaker. And I don't see a glaring difference in ab and waistline. Both are very good.

I think the contrast would be even starker if they were standing next to each other because Toney is so much taller.

If he's better, than why was his highest placing at the Olympia 5th in 2008 and his last was 15th in 2013? Just curious.

How a person places in a contest is a totally different issue and one that is argued about constantly. Toney was from a different era. People can have a field day posting pics comparing Jay with past bbers that never won or placed in the top five in the Olympia.

All we are doing here is just comparing two photos of two different bodybuilders in similar positions.

Well said , never was a fan of either nick names , and definitely agree if Shawn didn’t get the w many would be saying politics and I agree
