Title: moving foward in life maturing and such
Post by: Marty Champions on September 21, 2018, 10:52:46 PM
i feel either one goes the deep mental route quieting his sorroundings meditation ect preparing for the transformation from this life

or goes the blissfull idiot route avoiding painful thoughts, watching every little bs show on tv , showing fake confidence to the world everyday

i feel bad for being a downer in a logical sense, but it needs to be done more often to balance in the true reality..

i still dont get how so many poisoned people can eat meat and give not a second thought about it on many levels. look at all the bastards who eat meat how fast they age , dont they understand by now the meat isnt working?

I have to admit, I have no idea how you accumulated 32,000 posts but your threads are fucking gold, man. In an age where everyone knows everything and a solid half of their sentences are Internet acronyms or inside slang off Twitter, these kinds of basic preponderances that you'd have gotten in a black & white coming of age movie from the early 60s are sterling quality.

The world's gotten so cynical and nonchalant about everything. It's all been done, so nobody wonders the meaning of life anymore. This thread is the kind of shit the world needs more of. LESS smartphones, MORE sitting in public park benches with Fallsview, Irishdave, and Marty discussing the meaning of life and where, exactly, we fall within the ecosystem of 21st century post-national life.

Marty,

I agree with you.  Most TV shows suck.

Read a book.

The night before last I slept in my van because the job was too far from home.  I had eaten Burger King, which is Hungry Jacks here.  A bacon double angus.  I awoke at 1:40 am, got out of the van, and vomited on the grass square in the middle of the apartment complex where I was parked.  The whole time I was thinking "That meat isn't working."

Humans eat meat because they are omnivores and always have been.

Been in Western Australia since 99 working as a construction contractor.  I moved out to the picturesque rural town of York

about 4 years ago so a lot of my jobs are a-ways from home.  When I'm busy I just work long days and sleep on site.  Will get my Home On The Range camper box fitted out one of these days for work and holiday getaways, but until then I'm doing it animal.  Meh, the ye olde time settlers had it rougher.

You asked a generalized question and I gave you a generalized, scientific and logical answer, Marty. Do humans have to eat meat to survive? Probably not. If we choose any diet that provides the proper balance of protein, sugars, fats, fiber and other nutrients the human body requires to thrive, we will do just fine. Being as humans are naturally omnivores, we have more latitude in what we eat than we would if we were purely carnivores or herbivores. Our bodies are very resilient and therefore can function under a lot of different conditions.

I imagine you're a vegetarian or even a vegan. There's nothing wrong with this. You and a lot of other folks live a long and healthy life without eating meat. Occasionally, I omit meat from my diet and it feels fine. I also feel good when I eat meat.

Yes people's life spans have greatly increased for a number of reasons. There is no evidence to show vegetarianism is one of them, but it could be. Much of the world enjoys an abundance of food that requires very little physical effort to acquire. The result is over consumption. Bodybuilders and other athletes may be even more likely than the average person to over consume, particularly when it comes to protein which is most easily found in meat and dairy products.

In my opinion, a lot of people, who are not struggling to put a meal on the table, tend to become too concerned with the details of diet. You won't see folks in 3rd world countries opting for organic foods over less expensive regularly grown foods even though it is likely what they eat is organic. For these folks, a filet mignon is no different than a chuck roast and they certainly aren't likely to pay more for it.

My diet and the diet of many other folks today is lacking in vegetables, fruits and fiber. Truly fresh vegetables are mostly available to those who grow them. By the time an unripened avocado or tomato, for example, is shipped here from Mexico to your local market, it is no longer fresh. It has no flavor having been picked before it was ripe and probably shipped using cold storage.

Sorry, didn't mean to ramble, but there is are no easy answers to eating a healthy diet. The best advice I've ever heard is that you should shop the perimeter of you local grocery store, thereby avoiding processed foods as much a possible. In my local stores, vegetables, meat, dairy and the bakery are on the perimeter and sometimes wine. Processed foods are found in the isles.

You should be proud of me. I just poured myself a smoothie made with a variety of fruit juices, coconut milk and soy protein....and no meat whatsoever.

There must be a connection between having a skinny mini (not much meat) and not being a meat eater.

Perhaps up the beef intake to beef up to a medium mini.

I kidnap city folk every so often and run it through their phones.  The old well is sure gettin' fulled up tho.

We have proper broadband.  There were cables getting laid like crazy all over the country for the last decade or so.  I'll probably go wireless at the new house tho.

Sounds interesting. Must be liberating in a way getting away from things and just living like that. Good luck to you.

TV shows are nothing more than a way to sell items.  It's about brainwashing people.
