How come it's always some nobody that gets kidney failure? Why do guys like Dexter, Jay, Coleman, Heath, Branch, Rhoden, Cedric... all these massive pros that have been around forever abusing drugs not having kidney problems? As I understand it, just carrying huge amount of muscle stresses the kidneys. Add this to the dieting, training, hormones, huge protein intake, and drying out. I know a few have like Flex and a few others but it seems like they all should have some kind of issues.
I don't know. Maybe they do. Jay looks fine to me.

Not everyone has the same resiliency or the same physical weaknesses. Sometimes it's the kidneys, sometimes it is heart failure and sometimes the big guys live a long and healthy life. If a person knows where they are most physically vulnerable and they decide to ignore it, they are asking for trouble. One thing is for sure, old age will eventually take you down. Absolutely no one will survive that. It's just a matter of time and genetics. Live each day to the max and no matter what happens you know you can handle it with grace.
I try not to stress about how old I will live to be. But rather, I do everything possible to make each day the best day of my life. If you want to be as healthy as you can be, pay attention to how you feel, both physically and mentally. Some people ignore the warning signs and it ends up being their end.

Its the combination of all. Steroids, painkillers, heavy bodymass, high blood pressure, high protein intake...
The kidneys can only take it so far.

Pedro says he whole family offered him money but no one offered to give a kidney, his girlfriend gladly stepped to the plate as soon as they learned the news.
-
Those damn protein shakes.
At least , Pedro gave all the drugs he was on on that interview.......
Looks like 5% helped the guy too $$$$$
There are guys in the 212 and classic physique dealing with kidney problems too.
IFBB needs to give this athletes a good medical coverage.
That's permanent damage right there. Just for doing everything by the " bodybuilding book ".
-
I have to wonder how healthy Ronnie's kidneys are .....
never mind the 10 surgeries, and 30 plus years on the sauce....... just think all the meds and pain killers he's been on ever since he retired from competing .
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HH nothing but macadamia
-
9:15-9:50....drugs are just the finishing touch as so many say. Kudos to him for at least being truthful. He’s very lucky to be alive.

Bodybuilders take a plethora of illegal drugs to get big. Why would any health insurance company underwrite this type of risk pool? The answer is they wouldn't.

Add GH and diuretics to the cocktail and it becomes a sort of Russian roulette....
As most "pro's" have to prostitute themselves, and/or deal roids or recreational drugs, you might wonder if it's all worth it...
-
I wonder if these people with kidney failure are using more shit than the top pros like Jay, Ronnie, Dex, etc... People would assume that the top pros using more drugs, but there is a small chance that it may not be the case. Maybe Jay, Ronnie, etc.. have blessed genetics to reach that size with a lesser dose than these guys ruining their kidneys.
Remember Momo? People say he was a chemical wasteland. And what happened to that Daryl Stafford? He dropped off as quick as he appeared from health problems.

People would assume that the pros using more drugs have a higher chance at kidney failure ... it's toxic in your body no matter how you look at it........ someone in low dosages can develop an amazing physique, win shows , and still have a high Blood pressure and end up with permanent damage on kidneys
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Ta Na KA
