Cristiano Ronaldo is denying rape allegations made against him.
On Friday, the soccer player's lawyers told Reuters they are seeking punishment against Der Spiegel magazine for publishing "inadmissible reporting of suspicions in the area of privacy."
According to the magazine, the victim named Kathryn Mayorga, alleges Ronaldo raped her in June 2009 at a Palms Place hotel room in Las Vegas.
The 34-year-old claims she vocally said, "no," to the athlete's advances, but he apparently ignored her pleas. Afterwards, she claims he fell to his knees and apologized.

The best the Left can do is claim victims keep this type of things to themselves - but why? They can never explain that. Add in a huge payoff and her story borders on the absurd.

This chick didn't leak the story. A German newspaper did. In Ronaldo's testimony he said the woman said stop and no several times. This isn't the chick coming out of the woodwork. This is the press leaking information.
If the LAW says that she can't sue because to much time has passed/statute of limitations, lack of evidence or because she signed a NDA so be it. But if the LAW says there is evidence so be it.
There's a number of reasons why these things are kept to themselves. A primary reason is people don't believe their story and slut shame them, look no further than the Kobe case. His lawyer name dropped the victim several times in the hearing (where the judge threatened to hold her in contempt of court for doing so, but never acted on it) releasing her name to the public and setting loose that firestorm.
I'm with you dude, if a woman is found guilty of lying there needs to be repercussions. But if a person raped another person it should be investigated.

We don't know if they investigated it and found it wasn't justified for charges based on her statements, or whether she really pursued it at all once the question of a payoff came into question.
