An apparently healthy-looking man in his late 50s with a low body fax index and a lifetime of exercise under his belt drops dead of a heart attack, but average nobodies walking around 50-70lbs overweight who've only seen a gym from the outside and live on soda and pizza live into their 70s. Gee, I wonder why.  ::)

Looks like coach, guess he's next.

Poliquin had a history of heart problems.  Had a heart attack in his early 30s.

Runs in his family too.

It's weird.  You can have a lean, fit looking guy, not fat, etc. and he has a heart attack at 45 or 50.

Genetics.  The guy's arteries are all clogged up with plaque.  Have been since he was 20.

What people don't want to accept is that you have very little control over this.  If your genetics are bad you are screwed.

Diet, exercise, all that stuff won't save you.  You're destiny is pretty much set.

People do not like to hear that.  People want to control their destiny.

Lifting heavy with no cardio, eating a huge amount of calories, taking anabolics and site injecting didn't help either.

Clogged arteries are treatable with meds and stents, and lifestyle changes. Many people have the same issues as him and don't die at his age. You know why? Because they don't use steroids. Which is exactly what my post implied.  ::)

He wrote negative things about cardio exercise. Was he a steroid user too?  Genetics plays a huge role but life style plays a role too.

It's also likely he lived longer than he would have naturally due to medical science.

He should have died in his early 30s when he had his first heart attack.  That's young for a heart attack.

He wasn't stupid and was probably taking the proper medications for his condition but his time was up.

He lived 20 years past his original due date.  Not bad.
