Title: So I finally watched the Black Panther movie.
Post by: Pray_4_War on October 16, 2018, 12:02:54 PM
...and it's the most unintentionally hilarious movie I've ever seen.  I actually feel bad for black people after seeing this.

From the intro....."Wakanda is the most technologically advanced nation in the world, they accept no foreign aid, and they prospered while the rest of the world was in crisis."

Gee.....it's almost like....reality.......is the exact fucking opposite of that.

Never mind all these bald headed women running around with spears.  The men from the warrior tribes do this weird monkey chant.  The African accents are really choice too.  Hahaha.

It really is the most racist trolling movie ever made. Implying that the only reason a black country became intelligent was thanks to aliens.
Yet they didn't help their monkey chanting fellow africans who were starving and being sold off to slavery.
And yet the blacks lap it up.  ???

Liberal virtue signaling and pathetic pandering to blacks has become an epidemic. It’s like they spend the whole day doing it.

Poker writer Mike Caro coined the phrase “Strength equals weakness.” It means that when a someone is acting as though he has a good hand he usually has nothing. That’s really the case here. Black culture is a miserable failure and the blacks who succeed do so within the framework of white society. Deep down, Liberals know it.

And did you see the BP premiere?

Everyone dressed up for the occasion and even brought chitlings (and sold them to others) inside the cinema! :D

It’s obvious that they made it a black country to virtue signal and pander.

The median African country doesn’t have paved roads, but somehow the worlds most technologically advanced society comes out of there.

I watched it and thought it was garbage.

Nothing to do with it being an almost all-black movie, just simply lacking in production quality and story-line.

It had potential and could have been better directed & produced to spearhead a new superhero in the current Marvel universe. Unfortunately, for me at least, it sucked pretty bad.

If somebody took a man’s entire scrotum in their mouth, and simultaneously massaged each testcle by hand through their chipmunk cheeks while lip smooching his taint, it would be less gay than your post.

Just found a new drinking game.. everytime someone uses "virtue signaling"

I saw the movie. I grew up like many reading Superhero comics so I try and give a pass to them when they fall flat, because I wouldn't want them to stop making them. Having said that, I saw Black Panther and thought it was a well made movie. If you want to get pissed about some ulterior motive that's cool, but for entertainment, I thought it was one of the better Superhero movies of late.

Both Pink Panther and Black Panther are very powerful characters though, that has stood the test of time.

Black Panther has been around since 1966.

Pink Panther has been around since 1963.

Both have means to endure and defend.

Haven't seen it since I'm not into the whole comic book genre, but it looked like the standard CGI mess judging by the trailers and highlights. It did though look unintentionally amusing with the combining of primitive African traditions with futuristic technology.

Quite the ability!

You can develop this ability too, if you're willing to pay the price (at dvd.netflix).

I have a nice little side business going with this subscription method. I strictly rent new releases and hot titles. I bring the dvd into the office and for $3 a day I "rent" the movie to co workers. I can keep a popular title in circulation for a whole month, but usually I have a movie 2 weeks before I send it back.

The best is when someone gets the movie in the morning  and returns it by lunch, lol. I can turn around and have it resented by the end of the day.

And I know someone will ask how I handle weekends, a Friday rental with a Monday return is $6.

With the complete elimination of video stores Ive been able to this for a little over a year now,  In fact its so popular ive last month I've opened a second account to meet the demand for titles just in my office.

I'm an entrepreneur like VVV.

Good question  Kwon. I actually will not do weekend rentals UNLESS they're willing to pay $10 for the whole weekend. I initially thought that no one would take me up on this option due to the pricing decision, for another $10 an individual can buy the actual DVD, but I've never had an issue. My coworkers willing pay the price every single weekend.

Good question, I didn't think anyone would ask about this.

The movie got rave reviews. When I saw it I couldn't figure out what the fuss was about?  It was just okay entertainment. Nothing more. I think the left just needed a black movie and it was heralded for that. I can get this. Black kids are tired of white super heroes.  The lead actor did a really good job. Actually a great job in a just okay movie.

Due to many circumstances including internal issues mother Africa has not developed but its not because it cant. Yes we of African descent are only superior physically but there are many genius level blacks as well.By the way the Black Panther movie is fictional so gtfoh with that shit. Just enjoy it for what it is. I liked seeing a superhero like me, not just superman or batman which I cant relate to as much. Noone is saying that Africa is the most developed or that Black Panther is the only great super hero.

EL DIABLO, I also left after about twenty minutes or less. It was during that fight in or on the waterfall when I left.

But it made a hell of a lot of money!

I also disliked AVENGERS and had a hell of a time comprehending it because I am not familiar with the characters involved, but I had to watch it a second time because family members are deeply involved in that flicker and encouraged me to do so by providing a DVD copy and some character background.

So I  managed to dislike it a little bit less and came to the conclusion that THEON is actually the good guy in that movie because he will do anything that he can possibly do in order to solve a major problem.

He'd mke a damn fine military man!

For those who have yet to see it .... I will not disclose what that major problem is.

He reminds me of a Gereral who must accomplish a mission no matter the number of resulting casualities.

And then I saw VENOM which I thought was a real STINKER!

The bes part of Marvel films is trying to guess the part in which STAN LEE will appear and if he gets union pay-scale, a private traler, and a Hollywood hair dresser!

Just enjoy it for what it is. I liked seeing a superhero like me, not just superman or batman which I cant relate to as much. Noone is saying that Africa is the most developed or that Black Panther is the only great super hero.

Lets us black people enjoy something that was due for a long time. If you dont like it dont watch it. Leave it alone bruh.

Every country taken over by black African leadership has gotten worse. Corruption, crime, murder, rape, de-industrialization, unemployment, currency weakening, all keep getting worse.

They have shown that with their current mentality, political ideology and culture they are incapable of running a country. Yet they keep blaming everyone else except themselves for their failures and shortcomings.

If somebody took a man’s entire scrotum in their mouth, and simultaneously massaged each testcle by hand through their chipmunk cheeks while lip smooching his taint, it would be less gay than your post.

One more AVENGERS comment.

I got a couple of laughs from the scene in which "SPACE LORD" (or whatever his name is/was was told that he was fat or out of shape.

I have a strong feeling that scenedid not adhere to the script as it was originally written but was changed while on set when that particular actor (Chris Pratt who at one time was our waiter in a well known national restaurant) showed up to shoot that scene much heavier than his appearence in his prior Galaxy flick.

Some smart writer that day took advantage of Pratt's condition and rewrote and created what I think was a very funny scene with comments from Thor and the racoon and green female  characters .... and even from Pratt himself about buying a SoloFlex, etc.

One of the better scenes in that movie in my humble opinion.

No interest in a movie about “technologically advanced” spear chuckers.

Batman would have zero to do with some Dindu calling himself Black Panther.

Dindu has to be the best racial put down ever. Most pejoratives are pretty nasty. Dindu is actually funny as well as being reality-based.

Ironically I don’t think blacks even know the word exists. You always hear them calling each other ♠️Igga but not once have I ever heard a black guy say “Yo, wassup my Dindu?”

As real as you or me bro. I can give you Vince McMahon's address. He has a birth certificate. His wife is in President Trump's cabinet.

You can buy shares of WWE stock on the stock market.

So yeah I think its pretty real.

Are you trolling?

Yes the chairs are real. Often times the wrestlers grab the chairs from the audience members themselves. Chairs that they paid to sit in.

Dude have you ever been hit with a chair? Because I'll tell you from first hand experience it is not fun.

Did anyone think Pray 4 wars review of this movie would be positive? I mean given his history of posting did anyone really think they would click on this thread and hear a glowing review?  :) Not saying his review is wrong, but I personally would have went into cardiac arrest if it had been positive. I'm shocked he actually paid to see it

He was probably in a bad mood to begin with since someone probably forced him to watch it, against his will,  through one of the media conglomerates he's boycotting.

What triggered me to watch it was that I finally got around to watching Avengers Infinity War.  After seeing the Black Panther in that movie I knew his own movie would be full of lolz.

It was exactly what I thought it would be.  Superhero movies are all kinda stupid but holy shit.

I just think it's sad that they used a Marvel Superhero movie as a vehicle for their agenda!

Disgraceful behavior!

Oh, and if you watched both Infinity War and Black P, you'd see the feminism shining through with the annoying Shuri character.
Supposed to be 16 years old or something and already eclipsing Bruce Banner, Tony Stark et al.

Yeah right! :D

I'm all for powerful women in movies but that was too transparent!

I remember that thinking this myself the first time I saw Rambo, but, IMO, it’s different. They did that just to make the story work. This movie is doing something to push a narrative that’s in contrast to reality.

The outcome of the matches are predetermined.

Though, a non-trained person would probably break their neck or other bones if they tried those moves, so the athleticism and skill is real.

Rambo is based on the book by David Morrell. In the film, the police just view Rambo as a potentially troublesome drifter and disliked his unkempt appearance. However, the book goes into more detail and explains that the Sheriff is himself a skilled veteran (of the Korean War). He's become bitter towards veterans from more prominent wars since they have gained more attention while his service was largely forgotten.
While somewhat unrealistic, it can be a believable premise and deals with themes like PTSD and jealousy.

Chairs used in motion picture fight scenes ae referred to as 'break-a-ways' and were made of balso wood if I recall correctly.

Ditto for the tables that get destroyed.

Used to get hit in the head with 'bottles'' many times but back then I have been told that they were made somehhat like sugar.

And those big plate glass windows wre similarly constructed.

But I have attended wrestling mtches where real metal fold away chairs were used to beat the hell out of an opponent.

Here's a test question for you movie buffs ...

Name two principal actors who died while starring in a major motion picture as a result of the mis-use of stage prop pistols.

I know Jon-Erik Hexum and Brandon Lee died due to misuse of pistols on set.

KWON, I think you are 100% correct but I was wrong by thinking that Jeffrey Hunter died as a result of mis-using a  prop pistol .

I had forgotten about Hexum.

Hunter actually died as a result of a concussion when a prop car was rigged to expload. But he did not pass away immediately.

They know how to hit the person with the chair in a way that causes the least/minimal amount of damage. Of course, in that sense, it's staged.

Wrestling isn't like UFC or boxing where these guys friends after their match. For the most part these guys legitimately dislike their opponents for very valid reasons (see last nights episode of RAW and the split between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins).

Much of what these wrestlers do could get them thrown in jail, but because they signed contracts a lot of the crimes are considered consequences of the sport.

They could kill someone with a chair so yes they do try to control the damage but unless it's specifically in the rules chairs are illegal to use in a contest.

It was pretty much an okay film and in some ways, racially over the top.  As stated, the sister was soooooo much smarter than Stark or anyone else.  She also spoke in a racially insensitive manner about having to "save another white boy".

(Beatles reference)  Ho ho ho.  Hee hee hee.  Ha ha ha.

I fully expected to see "Madea" doing the "gorilla grunt" in "Infinity War" while leading the tribal warriors.  I found that the most insulting part of that film, that black warriors from Africa would be shown chanting/grunting like gorillas.  Very disturbing to any civilized person and no I am not kidding.  It was right there with the previously mentioned "white boy" BS in "The Black Panter".

It was an okay film that like so many before (and doubtless after) it, could have been better or worse.  Not a big deal.  But I didn't buy it.

Great points!

I didn't think it was designed to push an agenda any more than I thought infinity Wars was trying to push abortion or the dark knight was trying to push for vigilantly justice.

And if it was trying to push an agenda who cares if it ends up making minority children feel better about theirselves. Just like spiderman was designed to give nerdy awkward teens a reason to feel confident.

Enough people here have pointed out the flaws in the "community and social aspects" of the movie , its fantasy guys either you enjoyed it or you didn't. Its because people got behind it in real life as being "revolutionary", which it wasnt, that everyone got worked up.

Black Panther fanatics are the same as Star Wars nerds.
