Is only 40+ now? What happened to the Masters 50+ ??
I decided to not compete until May, but I'll more than likely be 16 almost 17 years older than most in that class...fuck!

Possibly, but I may have crossed that threshold between muscle maturity and "old" when going against guys that are that much younger.

I think once you hit 40 you should stop stepping on stage, sometimes you just have to grow up and focus on other things in life ... like fishing

Well, if anything it makes for good exposure for my business if come in good shape and place at least in the top 5, so in that sense, all I do is focus on my business(s).

For the Nationals, yes. For the Cal and all of the Jon Lindsay shows, no. I was going to do the Cal first.

I disagree. When you've grown up, you don't let other people tell you what you should and should not pursue. If competition bodybuilding is your thing, Go 4 It.

Have you considered competing with NABBA? I know it is not strong in the US...but the NABBA Masters divisions on the global stage are top notch and imo...way better than the NPC. And they offer all age divisions. I know that Doug Brignole competed with NABBA Universe Masters in recent years.And I know you guys judge together. And can speak about it. Just a thought. Would be pretty awesome seeing you compete again man. You have a great physique regardless of what a ton of getbig idiota say.
