Konstantīns Konstantinovs (June 6, 1978 – October 28, 2018) was a Latvian Russian powerlifter. His raw deadlift of 426 kg (939.2 lb), set in 2009, was formerly the raw deadlift world record.[3]

The rumor coming from Eastern Europe is stabbed in a fight in someway, perhaps related to his guard business. Seems like there might be truth to that, as many people in the know aren't talking, and in my experience that usually happens in violent deaths.

In world history, what was his rank in powerlifting?  Was he near the very top of all time, or am I confusing him for someone else?

PS - I think it was VICE documentary where Brian Shaw talked about how he wanted to be a role model to his son.  Does Brian honestly expect to live to see his son turn 20?  No disrespect intended, just asking.

Konstantinovs was around, then bowed out for a little. Hard to rank him, but he held records in the raw #275 and #308 classes across a a couple of feds for the deadlift and total. He was certainly in contention for the number #1 spot for a while.
