Dos Equis just posted about Democrats seeking to impeach Kavannaugh.
The hilarity will be non-stop for the next two years, my friend.

People are saying that someone who has never been given Senate Approval can't run the Justice Department ...even temporarily.
BTW - it's those same "people who are saying" that Trump refers to all the time so if you have a problem with that take it up with Trump
-
What do you think Trump has done that is illegal?
-
Some of the dem rhetoric is a bit crazed and over the top. I'll give ya that.
BUT, this is the beginning of the end for Trump.
I'm pretty even tempered and thought this move looked like Nixon right before he was forced out in '74.
You dummies have been saying that since 2016, in 2024 when he leaves offices, you will be here on getbig posting "see, we told you it was the end for Trump" ::) ::)
-
How long until Even-Tempered Howie cries and leaves again?
-
Dummy huh? LOL, your Trumpers were duped , big time.
When he finally does leave office, I'll thank GOD the nation will be in better hands.
Dude you are the biggest dummy on all of GB, not just this forum. At least that's some sort of accomplishment, probably your first :)

Wow a NYT opinion piece. Valuable information right there.

Try reading it or any of the other recent articles that address the Constitution Appointments Clause
Trumps a moron and he doesn't listen to anyone around him so he's probably just learning about this.
Much of the commentary about Mr. Whitaker’s appointment has focused on all sorts of technical points about the Vacancies Reform Act and Justice Department succession statutes. But the flaw in the appointment of Mr. Whitaker, who was Mr. Sessions’s chief of staff at the Justice Department, runs much deeper. It defies one of the explicit checks and balances set out in the Constitution, a provision designed to protect us all against the centralization of government power.
If you don’t believe us, then take it from Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, whom Mr. Trump once called his “favorite” sitting justice. Last year, the Supreme Court examined the question of whether the general counsel of the National Labor Relations Board had been lawfully appointed to his job without Senate confirmation. The Supreme Court held the appointment invalid on a statutory ground.
Justice Thomas agreed with the judgment, but wrote separately to emphasize that even if the statute had allowed the appointment, the Constitution’s Appointments Clause would not have. The officer in question was a principal officer, he concluded. And the public interest protected by the Appointments Clause was a critical one: The Constitution’s drafters, Justice Thomas argued, “recognized the serious risk for abuse and corruption posed by permitting one person to fill every office in the government.” Which is why, he pointed out, the framers provided for advice and consent of the Senate.
What goes for a mere lawyer at the N.L.R.B. goes in spades for the attorney general of the United States, the head of the Justice Department and one of the most important people in the federal government. It is one thing to appoint an acting underling, like an acting solicitor general, a post one of us held. But those officials are always supervised by higher-ups; in the case of the solicitor general, by the attorney general and deputy attorney general, both confirmed by the Senate.

Try googling the word interpretation.

I guess we'll just leave that up to Congress or the Supreme Court if it goes that far

Oh yeah, Howard? In what way? I really want to hear this.

You're a constitutional retard if you really believe this...lol.
Under the vacancies act, Trump (the President) is authorized to designate as acting AG an officer or employee at the DOJ for at least 90 days. He meets the legal standard and can be in office for up to 210 days.
-
It's a politics forum and I think Trump's a buffoon.
Sometimes things don't go your way in most aspects of life.
My political opinions won't be affected by postings on get big.
That's me , regardless of what you douchebags think .
Your political opinions won't be affected by getbig, but your liberal tears will multiply through the years as Trump stomps all over your democratic party and embarrasses them all. :D
Douchebag

Please explain this to me.
I started a new job 7 years ago. My 401k currently has double what I've contributed.
Will the Democrats improve this situaton?

Given enough rope, maybe Trump will hang himself. ;)

What do you think Trump has done that is illegal?
I think he's done more illegal stuff than anyone can imagine. We may never know how much. When he falls, he will leave behind a pathway to hell....and I don't even believe in hell.
-
So you have nothing just like the dems trying to take him down for two years.

I think he's done more illegal stuff than anyone can imagine. We may never know how much. When he falls, he will leave behind a pathway to hell....and I don't even believe in hell.
Serious question.... Who is dirtier Trump or Hillary?

Such as? I mean the left always says shit like this with no reference but when we point out, in detail what Obama, Killary or the left in general does, here comes the excuses.
Take today for example,
https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2018/11/09/florida-judge-to-broward-county-your-shoddy-vote-counting-violated-open-records-laws-n2535689
Dem's don't care anything about law or the constitution, this is even more proof.

Lmfao!!! This is the kind of stupidity that supports the democratic party.

Then stop imagining all the illegalities that has transpired and start proving them. Christ - you can't call Trump stupid/incompetent/lazy/etc. in one breath and then expect the American people to believe he is this criminal kingpin who hides all of exploits masterfully.
-
Serious question.... Who is dirtier Trump or Hillary?
There's not enough factual information available for any of us to know who is 'dirtier' (assuming you mean unethical political and business actions and not who has the fouler mouth). My uninformed guess is that we'd all be surprised at how unethical politicians are in general. Politics is a dirty business, there's nothing new about this.
For clues, look here:

Why would I want to waste my time trying to prove the unprovable? I can call Trump whatever I want to and so can anyone else. This is what is known as the freedom of speech. He may be a successful or just a lucky businessman, but that doesn't mean he's qualified to be a successful president.
