Smooth and no pop to his muscle bellies. Bodybuilding has to be the only activity to have regressed in quality the past 20 years

Boxing in the heavyweight division also has regressed

“No, son. I don’t want to play catch. Real athletics takes away energy needed for my war with the weights. Instead, let me show you how to properly load a syringe.”
“Wow, thanks Dad. No air bubbles. You’re the best!”
-
“I don’t call my dad, dad”
“I call him, Lee” ::)
Why would he even need to hire a “coach” if his dad is Lee??
-
-
Seemed shredded on IG, but ended up looking smooth on stage. Upper body has a smooth appearance, especially when hitting any pose opening up the midsection.
-
Freaky, I can see physique resemblance.
Good for him. Never met him, but I know Lee. He’s one of bodybuilding’s good guys. Smart, friendly and professional.
-
Hunter and Lee are the best thing going in bodybuilding right now. Attractive, wholesome, and well-spoken, they present a great image to the public.
-
Yikes😳
-
He looks like utter garbage and should retire from bodybuilding, get a normal job, and save his organs from utter destruction.
-
Looks like a cheap knockoff of his dad. Actually, never mind he doesn’t even come close to Lee at his best. His dad must be ashamed of him.
-
can someone do a side by side with him and his dad?
yea... not a fan
-
Good lord. In the 1990's he would not have made the evening show. He wouldn't be top-6. He looks like chubby bald kid that's been training for 3-4 years.
-
Seems like a nice, humble kid but should be an excellent light heavy/heavy 215lb bodybuilder with classic lines like his dad exhibited and not the Trey Brewer wanna be he is beginning to resemble.

Has your eyesight gone as well as your common sense? There is no real resemblance. He looks too blocky, he lacks the V Taper, and his abs...man, he didn’t get them from his mother.

Pretty much
He’s not impressive, remove his last name and he’s just another bber. I don’t see the hype in him
That Cody Montgomery kid from a few yrs ago when turning pro looks better, they are around the same height and this mess of a bber is a super heavyweight at 5’7??

A 2001 Branch Warren at the nationals looks better

I agree, the last person that looks great winning the nationals was cody..
-
Good proportion, lack of back width and thickness for the moment, can be a top 8 Mr Olympia in 2-3 years.
-
he needs deeper separation between those muscles to really makes them pop

Soft ass like my mom

This. He's a far cry from his dad. I saw him win the nationals 29 yrs ago.
-
I would never encourage or agree with my son using steroids. Focus should be on building a realistic career.
-
Appears Branch Warren is his dad as he is so blocky.

I didn’t say his physique is as good as his dad’s, you cockweasel. But there is a similarity of proportion, structure and muscle shape. If you can’t see it, perhaps it is you who is blind.
-
Hunter’s physique is secondary here. What they have to offer in the form of mainstream appeal is more significant.
How they will address the steroid inquiries will be the interesting part. Perhaps we will just go back to the “finishing touch” mantra although that may be difficult in today’s day and age.

I dunno, taking over dad's company wouldn't be a bad gig. It's a very successful company
-
Hunter has excellent torso/ab shape, but he's not very lean, so it looks blurry and watery. But he's definitely genetically gifted with respect to torso aesthetics.
Horrible arms. That's a real weak spot.
Worst of all, his head is fucking enormous. His father had a big head, but this kid takes it to the next level. Very fat-looking face, too.
What is it about today's drugs? Most pros look obese from the neck up. Too much insulin?
-
LEE and son ... both great individuals in and outside of the world of bodybuilding!
Good going, Hunter!
-
I just went over to MD to see the comparison pics. It wasn't even close. LaBrada destroyed the rest of the field and by the looks of it, the only one that knew how pose.
Which brings me to another issue. Why put in all of that work if you don't know how to fucking pose?

The "sport" is built on lies, post 1970 or so. No way anyone can achieve the build of the top bodybuilders without a heavy drug regimen. In other sports, at least you can be somewhat competitive without dope, even though the top athletes in just about every major athletic endeavor have used.
The only builds that will be mainstream acceptable are the Chris Hemsworth or Dwayne Johnson types, or smaller. Beyond that everyone realizes they are an addicts.

Because no one really gets any points for posing.

I'm actually referring to the mandatories. I was looking at the list of those who got their pro cards...freaking 14 pro cards given for one show. Ridiculous.

Growing a 'stache like his dad would cover up all of those weaknesses.

Not bad at all just skip the drugs.

Bit rushed but serves the purpose....

DRUGS BECOME THINGS
GOLDEN!!!!
-
one of the least impressive "overall" winners I have seen.

A 25 year old branch

He was clearly the best on stage. Definitely has a genetic advantage and the fact his dad owns a supplement company, but he put in the work. He earned it.
I agree with you in general about posing.
