I know this is a bodybuilding site, but any muscle-head can appreciate a big guy lifting a shit-load of weight. Check out these videos of Andy Bolton destroying the deadlift world record and one heavy-ass squat!

his squat isn't a world record. the record was 1170 years ago and lewis broke the 1200 barrier in late 2005. close, though. bolton's still a monster, closing in on the total record if he can just get his bench up.

my bad - it's hard to find out the official records when there are so many organizations throwing numbers at you - thanks for clearing it up! - and you're right, Andy Bolton is awesome

Andy will be hitting in the 700's on his bench real soon. I worked directly with him in the Animal Cage at the Arnold then set him up on a great routine that we do at Westside, he will be busting HUGE weight on the bench soon!!!

Not an early riser just a person who dont sleep for shit!!!! I'll lay in bed for hours, and it is worse on weekends becasue my wife works the night shift thru the week 11pm to 7 am so thru the week I got the bed to myself and on weekends and holidays we share and neither of us get any sleep cause we are both use to having thebed to ourselves. One of us usually ends up on the couch.

That is why he is busting his ass now to get it up. I applaud anyone who can come in after a HUGE squat and hit a HUGE bench then move on to a HUGE dead. That is why I put guys like Garry Frank so high up on my list of the GREATEST ever. To do a 1000 plus squat, bench mid 800's and then pull around 900 that is FU_CKING NUTS!!!! Full power is crazy with those kinda numbers.

MisterMagoo made a good point when he noted the unreal ease with which Andy Bolton peforms deadlifts - in the footage and in pictures, he just walks up to the bar and lifts it as casual as can be. At the top he seems to hold the weight effortlessly. This fact becomes even more exagerated and apparent when comparing his lifts to that of other accomplished powerlifters. Consider the following three pictures:

i don't get how he can look around and laugh while holding over 900 in his hands. i turn my head even with 405 and it hurts, i can't imagine if i tried it with max weights.

hahaha, i agree, we used to have a deadlift bar just like that in another gym i went to, it was a little longer and thinner than a regular Olympic bar and it had very, very sharp knurling and it bent in the middle so you would actually start the pull from a couple of inches higher than you normally would.

It is. That picture is at least a year, maybe two years old. Donnie has shaved off is sideburns and has his hair cut different now (or it was at this years Arnold).

i undersrtand what ya are sayiung buy glenn ross is over 400lbs and a little over 6 feet tall. it kinda puts it in perspective. ronnie also would be dwarfed but not a hell of alot
