CAMPOS for the WIN ....Classic Physique.
None of the other names are familiar outside of Danny Hester who could win if his age is not a factor. (Great individual by the way!)
Danny's photo is definitely enhanced and CAMPOS could add a few pounds of solidness!

Not a very impressive line-up. I miss the days of AC's with Flex, Vince, Levrone, Fux, Munzer, Czioulock, Cormier, etc. 1-10 used to be crazy.
Ron, is this the 1st show of the year with an open class?
Since you know so many peeps in the industry, is there any thought of ever bringing the Ironman back? And what's the current rumblings about Kai doing the O?

The Ironman, if someone would bring the funding to it, could be done. However, the Los Angeles Fit Expo has turned into a huge event with 50,000 people, with an NPC contest, BUT you need to be out of there by 6pm. Getting a venue in downtown Los Angeles is freaking expensive, sometime like $20-30K a night possibly, even The Orpheum Theatre, where is was once slated to be. So alas, no pro bodybuilding contest in late Jan - February like the Ironman, which proceeded the Arnold for a long time.
But Southern California DOES have a IFBB Pro Men's Bodybuilding event, and I will be there, along with a lot of others.
On May 25th, 2019, the 2019 IFBB CALIFORNIA PRO MEN'S BODYBUILDING
Thank you Tamer El-Guindy for promoting and bring this even to Southern California!

It will be five years since my last Arnold, this year.
I fear for all of their healths.
Bah!

Danny Hester should have never won the first bbing classic Olympia, he must be very close to judges.......

Sadik is not listed and he keeps posting about going back to physique this year at the Arnold.

Did you not reply about the Kai situation because you do not have info, or bcuz you've been told to let it be a mystery?

I guess I've only seen Makkaway on his own, and didn't realize that was him. Good eye. He's tiny (comparatively)
I counted Fox and the bolded, but you're right on the others, so if you agree on Fox it's 7.

Bertil Fox ? He’s not in that lineup - Albert Beckles & Jonny Fuller are.

Ron, you forgot the most important part of the Arnold!!!
These seven athletes have qualified so far (Although there are three spots open).
Hafthor Bjornsson (Iceland) – 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic USA Champion
Rauno Heinla (Estonia) – 2018 Arnold Classic Australia Champion
Oleksii Novikov (Ukraine) – 2018 Arnold Amateur World Champion
Mikhail Shivlyakov (Russia) – 2018 Arnold Classic South America Champion
Jean-Francois Caron (Canada) – 2018 Arnold Classic Africa Champion
Brian Shaw (USA) – 2018 Forts Warwick Champion
Martins Licis (USA) – 2018 Arnold Classic Europe Champion
The other three open spots will go to the winners of the 2019 Arnold Pro Strongman (1 spot) and the Arnold Pro Strongman World Series (2 spots).
Here is the official schedule of the 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic:
Date: Friday, March 1st
Event 1: Rogue Elephant Bar
Time of event: 3:00 – 4:45 p.m.
Location: Arnold Fitness Expo Stage
This event is a true test of physical and mental strength, as athletes will have to deadlift a 340kg/751 lbs bar (Rogue Fitness special-made Elephant Bar) and the weight will increase until a competitor prevails over the rest.
Event 2: Husafel Stone Carry
Time of event: 4:15 – 5:15 p.m.
Location: Arnold Fitness Expo Stage
Each competitor will have to bring their best strength and endurance abilities in order to carry the 186kg/410 lb for a grueling, maximum distance.
DATE: Saturday, March 2nd
Event 3: Conan’s Wheel of Pain
Time of event: 1 – 2 p.m.
Location: Hall B
Event 4: The Austrian Oak
Time of event: 3 – 4 p.m.
Location: Arnold Fitness Expo Stage
Athletes must press a massive man-made log (Austrian Oak) of 195kg/430 lbs overhead for maximum reps.
Fifth event: Stone to Shoulder
Time of event: Approximately 9 p.m.
Location: Batelle Grand
Athletes must lift a 186kg/410 lb stone up on their shoulder for as many reps as possible.
Be sure to grab your seats quickly because it will be a packed house, considering the big names in Strongman will be competing for massive bragging rights and the title of 2019 Arnold Strongman Classic champion. It’ll be a tough competition ahead but who will come out on top? Will Hafthor Bjornsson dominate once again or will he give up the title? Either way, it’ll be an exciting battle!

I give everyone of you "all drugs" peeps my word right now....if that is Roelly 2 weeks out from the AC, and he comes in shredded and wins......you gentlemen will not read one word from me arguing in his favor.
Huge, but looks like shit >:(

That's water weight, not fat. He can drop the water in a matter of days.
That is the hugest delts and arms I've ever seen in a back double bi. That is just absolutely insane. Even his upper chest is visible from the back.
Considering how he looked at the O I think he has found his groove and what it takes to come in on point.
He will win the Arnold and, possibly the O depending on Ramy and Kai. Brandon Curry will be waiting in the wings to keep them all honest.

Almost looks as if he doesn’t have the back to support those monstrous arms/delta. You think that’s all water though? That is an insane amount of water.

Um, that's more than water. Bonac and Curry will be fighting for the win.

Agreed. He does hold more water than others it seems, and he's not fat....,but that is not "just water". He would at least have some vascularity in his quads...I don't see any
If he wins, it'll be because he's big and "full", and everyone else missed the mark too...which is kinda how pro shows go these days :'(
-
Roelly must have gills to be able to breathe under all that water.
-

We'll see. But damn that photo almost looks shopped. Never seen such a thing.

The rule of thumb is that you have to be about 8% to have visible abs. When I had to cut weight for a tournament, I could easily -- EASILY -- drop ten pounds in a day. And considering a pound of fat is around 3,500 calories and about 1,200 calories in a pound of lean muscle I'm pretty sure the vast majority of that weight lost was water. And I wasn't nearly as bloated as Roelly is in those pics.
Of course, time will tell come show time.

Josh is big and ripped but has an ugly physique. He ain't beating Bonac, Curry or even Roelly if he turns up in decent shape.
-
Nine days from now:
-
Hes very, VERY wet....
But it's not all water.....you can sort of see through water on the body, still get glimpses of striations etc...but not here...
-

8% is pretty fucking lean. You should have clearly visible abs at 12%.

Luke is looking very good heading into this show.
I think top 6 is where he will be, probably a place or two behind where he should actually finish due to him being a nooob

Ron,
On this link it doesn't say what time zone. Columbus is EST? So no men's open class until pj'ing at 1 Columbus time Sat., right?
This is awesome that they are doing it on YT! This is something I've wanted since I got my smart tv 3 yrs ago. Goodbye swapping out laptops when the battery goes dead, and messing with an HDMI cable. 8)
Why is it that AC always does things better than the Mr. O? :P
-
Columbus is in EST so that’s the Live Stream time. You’d need to adjust accordingly if you are not in the EST.

Heard a radio spot in town about the Arnold weekend. Has a fake Arnie voice saying "pump you up" and it ends with the announcer saying "don't forget the secret sauce"...haha.

It was really amazing to me when I was watching the Strongman placings, and awards last night how all of these big strong dudes were coming out one after another, and then there was Shaw and this guy;.....somehow they make all of those other enormous and freaky strong dudes look like they've just started training.
As Hans would say in his Arnold imitation, "they're built just like little babies"

True - though Arnold is 70+
And Thor has the bone structure of a Brontosaurus!!
