Title: Student Want Professor To Poll Every Day To See How Students Gender Identify
Post by: Palumboism on January 02, 2019, 02:34:05 PM
At the 15:50 minute mark Professor Gad Saad tells a story of how a student asked him to poll all the students in class every day to see how they gender identify.

I recommend Getbig perform a daily poll to see how everyone gender identifies out of respect for our gender fluid members.  :D

Crazy. I mean wtf, gender fluid. What is going on?

If you’re gender changes day to day then you should be smart enough to know you’re sick in the head and should seek a doctor, but now it’s acceptable to be sick in the head?

This would be impossible with an auditorium of, say, 150 students.

1/2 of the class would be gone.  ??? ???

Or, even a room with less students, it's taken away from teaching.

I don't know about any of you, but I rarely, if ever, refer to people in real life as "sir" or "ma'am" or "male" or "female."

Where are these people encountering this stuff? For as long as I could remember, I usually just shake someones hand and say "hi, how are you." As we shake hands, the person may say "Im john" and I say, "Im SF1900." In no context in my life has "sir" or "ma'am" or "male" or "female" come up. And why are professors even addressing students in this fashion? You're the professor. Just have students come in, sit down and learn.

Strange.

I still say, “yes ma’am” etc. and address people in that manner in professional settings and introductions.

I live in the South, so no matter age it’s like that.

But students, they should just stfu.

I grew up on the Northeast, so we really don't do the whole "ma'am" and "sir." Growing up, I referred to as adults as Mr. or Mrs. X.

These days, if I casually people meet people, I usually just address them as stated above. A simple, "Hello, how are you" with an exchange of names. I have run into zero problems addressing people in this manner, so it's baffling that all these problems are arising.

Mentally-ill freaks who are beyond help.

At this point, there’s no significant difference between University liberal arts departments and mental institutions.🤔
