Alabama isn’t used to this
31-16 at halftime
-
i think the same thing happened last year

Alabama is getting destroyed. 44-16

It's a shame that Trevor Lawrence has to wait two more years before he can enter the pros. He's NFL ready right now & can already make throws that some current NFL QB's can't.

LOL, Tua was ready for the NFL after making all the throws this year. Lawrence is nowhere near NFL ready.

Agreed but gotta give the kid credit. Moreover, he has the physical tools and looks pretty athletic considering he looks like a 6' 6" country bumpkin.

I wasn't discrediting him, saw a lot of his high school combines, but he isn't NFL ready at this moment. Clemson is LSU's defense and Oklahoma's offense. Like LSU's their corners can jump Tua's time routes, but unlike LSU their offense stays on the field.

Hess Freshman, he’s good but 3+ years from NFL standards. Bama when through 20 coaching changes and Played like none of them watched any film.

LOL he would be the number 1 overall pick right now and that is coming from guys that get paid to know, bunch of armchair GM's in here ::)

bottom line... Clemson played outstanding... and Lawrence is a force to be reckoned with going forward...
-
Wish him the best. Hopefully he does not get injured etc.

Crazy how #1 overall picks turn into busts vs 4-6 rounders who win Superbowls. TUA was NFL ready last year. Ops, how soon we forget!
-
Tua throws a much tighter ball than Lawrence and is more athletic. However, Lawrence appears to have a better read of the defense and does not make careless errors. I think Tua has greater upside if he polishes his game and improves his football IQ. However, Lawrence is a stud. Regardless, Clemson has all the tools to rule college ball for a few years. Not sure where Alabama goes from here but I bet you Saban is going to get some safeties and corners to improve his pass defense.

Who are the 4th or 6th rounds that win sbs?
Nick foles and Russell Wilson? Nick foles is still a fluke but Russell wilson is legit

Clemson seemed nearly unstoppable on 3rd down conversions last night. Lawrence made the Alabama secondary look like the keystone cops (well maybe not quite that bad)

Brad Johnson, Tom Brady, Kurt Warner (not drafted). That's just the ones off the top of my head. Like I said I watched a lot of his combines along with the young St Brown kid. He's legit. But I'll sit on the curve with the NFL MVP talk.
Too bad I passed on that easy +7 for $1000. ::)

But right now he’s only a year out of high school and 19 years old and not eligible for the draft for 2 more years. If he was a junior I would agree, but a lot can happen in two seasons and if who ever picks him up in the draft, I hope they’re smart enough to keep him out for a season to grow into his position and learn a pro offense. Goff comes to mind

you know who else was number 1 overall? peyton manning, john elway, eli manning along with countless other high picks that won super bowls but hey you keep using guys like brady and rare exceptions to prove your dumb point ::)
the number 1 overall is more likely to win the super bowl than a late pick, that is not debatable
nobody said tua was nfl ready last year, he didn't play until the 2nd half of the title game
and what does that have to do with what i said? lawrence would be the number 1 overall pick right now if he was eligible, whether he'll bust or not isn't the point the nfl teams clearly love him right now

his stock can only get worse from here, it can't get better when you're already considered the best prospect overall
it's bullshit that he has to play college football, he is being denied the right to work
