Firearms, been working on them like crazy twice a week since November doing a giant set consisting of over head cable wrist curls/reverse barbell wrist curls and dumbbell wrist curls for 10 rounds and one day doing behind back wrist curls with hammer wrist curls with an actual hammer.
Hopefully this does something as I would like to add about .5” on them this year.calves are doing good and so is bench so forearms are the weak spot as is neck but neck is not that important to me.

Rob, what are firearms?
Are they arms of fire that you attach to your hands?
-
Legs, hurt right knee early 2018 and haven’t been able to squat most of year so they are like twigs, doing light box squats now and wearing knee sleeves and pain is minimal so hopefully can progress a bit.
Need to get deadlift at least semi respectable again also.

I've wondered about the benefits verses the drawbacks of using knee sleeves and weight belts, etc. I get that they are supportive, but doesn't that support weaken rather than strengthen the areas where they are worn? Furthermore, do they sometimes mask any damage caused by over-training?

Might be just coincidence but I initially injured my knee after using sleeves for a few weeks for the first time ever but I’d also upped the frequency of squatting as well so can not pinpoint the source of injury but would lean towards the increased frequency but will never know since changed two things at once.
At the minute they do seem to help but maybe it’s just the added warmth in the joint as train in a cold garage and always get sore knees wrists and hands in the cold weather

Haha I appreciate that mate but if I ate clean I’d feel like I may as well be dead I’d be that miserable(not seriously). I honestly ate religiously strick and limited foods for years from age 14 till I was nearly 30 in an effort to beat colitis but ended up forced into having guts cut out and started feeling well again decided fuck it I’m going enjoy food now I could. I know it’s no excuse And should make an effort and appreciate life more

I get it, but at least clean it up a little.
Any small change matters.

I avoid sugar and sugary foods if that helps?

Hindsight isn't always the best indicator of things, but I wonder if you had not used sleeves back then, would you have upped you squat frequency? A longtime back I wore a weight belt when working out. Not sure I really needed it, but it was common practice around the gym. Although my back 'goes out' every so often, it has never happened while lifting. Most of the soreness in my back is the result of degenerative disk disease (old age).

Never been one to eat a lot of sugar. My downfall is cheese. I love cheese, particularly Camembert, and anything dairy. Yogurt is my mainstay breakfast food. Lately, I've been eating Chobani Flip for dessert. I haven't given up my love for McConnell's Turkish Coffee ice-cream.

It actually was because of using the sleeves that I increased the frequency, I had tried in past but joints always let me know it was a mistake, this time something pulled in the right knee and never fixed itself after a few weeks of rest like pains normally do. Still feel it slightly now when squatting and can’t help but feel had never tried sleeves it would have been ok, spend a lot of time kneeling on the injured knee at work als, often in damp sand so that dosent help it’s recovery either

I’m the same with sugar, sugary foods make me feel sickly after only a few mouth fulls. I do enjoy cheese but main weakness is red and fatty meats

Henda, would you feed Vince Goodrum cheese and grapes while having a picnic?

Even better bake it in the oven using a wire rack over a cookie sheet.

Some on the politics board could treat their brain more like a muscle group in 2019.

Will try that thanks mate

The recommendation is to set the temp anywhere from 375 - 425. Some recipes suggest putting the bacon directly on the baking sheet, but that means it's cooking in its own fat. Cooking it over a cookie sheet on a Teflon grid or rack keeps the bacon elevated above the grease (for small portions you can use your broiler pan). This method usually takes about 15 - 20 minutes, depending on how crisp you like it. Thicker cut bacon works best. I like uncured bacon, except for the fact that you need to fix it before the stale date to insure it isn't rancid.

Sometimes I make bacon in one of these mircowave contraption. The grease drips off. Trying to get lean for 2019 instead of trying to bring up one muscle group.

Doesn't the bacon grease splatter onto the walls of the microwave?

If my legs get any skinnier, it will appear I am walking on flexible sticks, like Olive Oil doing yoga.

My quads measure 22.5". It's difficult to find pants that don't balloon out in the legs. :(

The last couple years I have focused on deltoids and triceps. For me 2019 is going to be all about Quads.
I'm going to attempt to do some heavier squatting this year.

My advice to the Flotsam.....train only your arms for a month and see what happens.

Thank you for that advice even though I'm not part of the Flotsam or the Jetsam.
