President Trump's social media pages post altered photos that make him look thinner
Bigger crowd sizes and a smaller frame — both are achievable with the help of a handy image-altering app.
Despite his repeated condemnations of fake news, President Trump’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts have shared photos of the commander-in-chief digitally slimmed down. According to a Gizmodo investigation, the President has shared at least three different retouched photos since October.
The images in question have been altered in a variety of ways. A photo posted to Trump’s Facebook account on Thursday appears to show the President with a thinner build and his fingers a bit longer than usual when compared with the original image, posted on the White House’s Flicker Page.
“Trump’s right shoulder has been slimmed down and his face is looking thinner,” Gizmodo noted. “He’s also gotten a haircut — well, a digital one anyway — and in one of the strangest alterations, Trump’s fingers have been made slightly longer.”
