Title: Why do Inexperienced Gym Goers Ask For Advice From Other Inexperienced Gym Goers
Post by: NickEdge779 on January 24, 2019, 09:35:00 PM
Doesn't it make perfectly obvious sense to go ask the guy who looks like he knows what he's doing and is actually muscular than to seek advice from some skinny fat 21 year old personal trainer guy the gym hires who teaches people that taking vitamins and doing 50 rep sets and stretching on the mats is going to get them gains? You see like half the gym doing 90% of their exercises completely wrong, the blind leading the blind, and everyone taking advice from some hippie therapeutic medicine parrot 50 year old fat dude who think he knows everything about health and fitness because he read an article from Dr. Oz. Meanwhile the guys who are squatting 405+, have 20 inch arms, and doing every exercise with perfect tempo and form and lifting with perfect mind-muscle connection and a purpose are completely passed up and no one even imitates their workout routines or form. THey'd rather copy the workout of some cross fit circuit training jogger guy who has 13.5 inch arms and bench presses 95 lbs cuz he's funny and outgoing and doesn't actually workout but just socializes with everyone telling them the secret to getting into as "good of shape as he is" is to drink vegetable smoothies and eat fruit and nuts is the secret to being in shape

The majority of commercial gyms today are being overrun by millennial twinks who are much more interested in their phone and social media than a 400lb bench press and 18" arms.  A few weeks ago I saw a guy leg pressing and was on his phone at the same time... pathetic.  These are a few who are serious, but they are the minority.

Cell phones and texting has ruined everything... seriously.  It has turned people into zombies.  You cannot go anywhere without seeing some retard being hypnotized by his/her phone.  They don't own the phone, the phone owns them.  I don't have a cell phone... never will.

Yes, you will.

May I suggest this TracFone with a 120 minute/90 day plan for $19.99?

That's less than $7/mo.

Not going to read all that I get the picture from your question

1' They will feel intimidated walking up to someone who truly trains like they mean it
2' They don't want the answer they are going to get it will mean they have to truly put effort into it in order to gain any shape or size
3' I never give advice to anyone but I have help a few guys who I see come with there friends, there is always one who you can see really wants to get into shape while the others fool around talking shit and when it there turn they do very minimal work.
so you don't mind helping the other guy out because we all started somewhere..

It's an epidemic. What disgusts me most is seeing grown men act like a teenage girl with their phone. I see a guy at the gym (over 40) take selfies in different ares of the gym, in different clothes.

Same reason why a fat person will ask another fat person about diet advice. Why would a fat person ask an in shape person how to loose weight?

They are only in shape because of their lucky genetics, or because they starve themselves.

Lol...So true....I had a guy recently acting like a 'know it all' who looked like he had never touched a weight...Said he was a certified personal trainer bla..bla...bla...I was tempted to say 'your credentials are your body', but I didn't.

How often do you get stuck/lost?  How often do you need to "look up" something?  How many "apps" do you use everyday?  You're texting other people right?

If you have a phone, you're most likely a slave to it.

It' a great tracking/spy device too.  It tells everyone where you are, where you've been and what you're doing.  All those texts, emails and conversations are saved/recorded for future reference.  Lots of backdoor data mining being done via those apps.

Scary shit.

Getbig is filled with enlightened individuals.

It’s baffling how most getbiggers make it through the day among ordinary people.

Must be tough!!

Maybe they're in the gym in the first place because they're scared of experienced people.
