Fantastic film. Wonder why Daniel Day Lewis turned down the role of Wieder.

Arnold was never that square-shouldered. Not by a mile. His were droopy.

As well, Arnie’s form on pull downs was considerably more loose and swung.

Oh, and Joe “trained” The Oak? Not a chance. Maybe slurped his cock post-session.

The guy who plays Arnold has a modern gassed look. Not classic. At all.

The film looks like complete shit.

And no one gives a flying fuck about Joe Weider.

Arnold also never used a 45 degree leg press. Gold's gym  only had a leg press where you loaded plates on a vertical smith machine style press

First thought that came to mind was that he was moving like Arnold from Terminator, while portraying Arnold from many years before that film.

Theory: Great actors do their homework, but they used what they've learned at the proper times.  Conclusion:  Calum is not a great actor

Uncle Joe never trained Arnold?  Next you're going to say Weider didn't invent every training principle known to man.  You are ruining my belief system. >:(

Arnold used to train in an abandoned warehouse with home-made equipment?

The Joe Weider actor is about as uninspiring and monotone as you can get. Imagine someone like the late Ron Silver playing him- that would be a real performance.

Most likely a plot twist to safe face.

I was going to say 45-degree leg presses weren't around back then. Only the 90.

More like how many dozens of dollars.  How a director or producer could film this scene, review it and think "yes, this is ready for the big screen" is mind boggling.

He was probably using the Weider Director Principal.

Moger was actually ok but the guy playing Weider has to be one of the producers who ponied up the money for this flick because who else would allow such a terribly uncharismatic and talentless actor to play the lead role in a ‘Hollywood’ movie?
