What about flip flops?
Or a pair of Vans?
-
Of course! >:( I once had stock in Payless Shoes. It's just another example of my poor relationship with stocks and investments.
-
Where will the morticians buy the shoes for the corpses now?
-
I'm just happy Sketchers has their own outlet store nowadays, and they're ironically cheaper than at Payless.
That's the only thing I bought from payless was Sketchers boots years ago.

Sketchers boots........ 8)
Side note apparently Sketchers is a brand that isn't afraid to "steal" other shoe companies tech and they have multiple lawsuits against them for these practices.

Don't they all do that?
I love their tennis shoes and boots, and the prices. If you have a link I'd be interested in reading about that?
They're shoes....how much more different can any of the brands make them at this point?
-
Barfooted, flippy flops, Keen Aroyo sandals, Keen light McKenzie & Palladium
Trashed dozen of Converse ............

Hell, wear a couple of Kleenex boxes.

Good points.
Here is a link to the most recent lawsuit, but Nike and Adidas are continually in litigation with Sketchers.
I can remember getting fake Nike shoes at payless as a kid, theyd be a pair of Voit or Spauldings that looked like the bo Jackson cross trainer. So company's have always created knockoffs but as I understand it Sketchers goes after the intellectual property while the patent is pending.

Thanks for finding and posting. 8) I had read it the other day, and just noticed the tab was still open and it reminded me to say thanks!
I did not expect the article to be about fucking golf shoes of all the types of shoes they make ??? :P Does the side by side look like a knock off? Yeah, but I'm betting I could probably find at least 5-10 others that had soles laid out like that Ecco brand's. I'm sure they all do studies on weight distribution, and gripping the course to determine the number of cleats and where they go....how many patterns could 20+ golf shoe makers with multiple models come up with?
Interesting about Sketchers from the article link you posted. "Skechers has been involved in 89 intellectual property lawsuits filed in U.S. district court dating back to January 1st, 2000. Skechers was a plaintiff in 50 of those cases, a defendant in 39 cases and a third party in two cases."
As said earlier in thread, seems like all of them do it. That excerpt would suggest so.
