Neither.I don’t mind either cats or dogs but no interest in having one myself and dealing with shit, piss etc....I have had a few dogs and my last dog got cancer and I spent 8k fighting it’s cancer and it still died.Dont want to deal with that again.
-
Like 'em both but prefer a cat that behaves as a dog over a cat that is a cat. Dogs are great. Only have a pooch right now and this may be the last one.
-
I'm allergic to most cats.....like snot dripping out my nose, face red and puffy, eyes watering like I just learned someone I loved just died allergic :'(
Dogs FTW!
-
dogs, at my age i probably enjoyed having my last dog 2006-2018. i don't really want to go through the end process again.
-
I like dogs better, but I don't mind cats. Every once and a while, you run into a cat that is a little on the doggish side personality wise, and it can be a neat mix. I had a Manx cat that was like that.

My dog is the first one that I've "owned", and she's probably only got about 5 years left >:(
Could be wrong though, cuz even though her snout is greyed she still plays and pulls just as hard as when she was full grown and settled at 2 yrs.
She keeps having blood in her urine, and vet said get some Amoxicilian from my dr. and giver her that. Works like a charm, but then it happens again a couple times each month. I'm just thinking "please be ok, and don't die on me anytime soon" My heart will break when that day comes :'(
p.s. - chk yer pm's

I'm sincerely sorry for your loss.
Lost a great lab mix we got from an old folks home a couple years ago.
Poor guy got cancer and it got the best of him.
He passed away laying on the recliner in our "man cave" in his sleep.
It was damn tough loading his body into the back of the car to be cremated at the Vets.
I cried like a baby. :'(
I'm sure the greedy pigs do based on how much they want each year for a "health/wellness" check up, but do vets add insult to injury so to speak by charging to disposal of the remains? If so how much?
Like I said earlier, I'm worried my best furry friend might only have about five yrs. so I have thought about this. There's so much rural land here I'm thinking of burying her someplace that I'd like to go back and visit her that has a nice serene atmosphere with a calming view. My only concern is some animal digging her up. Even that seems better than the thought off her being incinerated though??? Not sure what the right thing is.
Curious, since others have lost fury loved ones....what's your take on this?
Sorry to turn the thread morbid, but it's part of life and the one downfall of having a pup or cat as a companion and buddy.

Have gone through the sad task of burying a few family dogs over the years. Cremation is far better.

When my last dog got diabetes in old age it when blind in a week. Completely blind. We had to give the dog insulin shots twice a day. I couldn't put the dog down. It got to the point I was carrying the dog out in the back yard so it could go. When the vet gave my dog the final shot it fought for life and wouldn't go for almost three or four minutes. I felt like I murdered my best friend. I had dogs my whole life and I was finished.
My daughter and her husband got a puppy. They both work 12 hour revolving shifts and we watched our "grand dog" just about as much as they did. It's a pug. My daughter always wanted one. Her husband is 310lbs and wanted a man's dog but he consented to getting what she wanted. Never had a more lovable dog. Incredibly playful and just follows me everywhere. When I watch tv the dog leans on my leg. The dog can sprint like a cheetah but has zero endurance. Every time my daughter drops him off at the house he is so glad to see me. The dog seems to exist to make people laugh.

I'd say dog person. I've had cats and they are okay. My problem with them is that I'm allergic to them more so than dogs.

First and last pics are awesome. If I do get another one, it will be a SH, and I hope it keeps it's blue eyes as that look is a bit of a warning, and loving at the same time. Totally matches my personality.

Dogs, Funk sorry buddy know how you feel. Lost her to a Buffo Toad 3yrs ago.
