Goodmorrow,
I just was checking out the Nutrition facts on the back of some Healthy Choice meals and comparing them to the popular Bodybuilding meals you see advertised by Cutler and so on. There is no difference in any of them. The only difference I see is Healthy Choice costs $2.47 per meal as opposed to $8.75 and up.
I was even surprised that the sodium in all the meals I looked at were about the same which would be a real bummer if you're "on". So the question to all of you is why on earth would anyone spend their money on these "bodybuilding meals" when you can have basically the same with Healthy Choice?

Fallsy,
Who's your healthy choice guy? I can get you those same meals for $2.34 a piece.

I have looked and looked at online meals for bbers and i cannot find one that is worth a damn (total value)
rich piana's meal service was amazing - tons of calories, protein and they tasted great. amazing service too. i have posted about them in the past.
in my opinion - bber meal services are best used if you are bulking/off season. so you always have calories around. i bought 3 meals a day from 5% - 500-600 cals per meal
so i would have oats + eggs meal 1, then meal, 2, 3, and 4 were Rich Piana's meal service and meal #5 i would have eggs again

Ok, what is it that you are looking for? Every one of those "Muscle Meal" companies are the same as Healthy Choice. Healthy Choice protein content ranges from 17 grams all the way up to 28 grams per meal with an average calorie content of 260. At a cost of around $2.50 to the Bodybuilding gimmick meals of $8 to $10 bucks, you really have to be ignorant or just an attention seeker.

Impossible if you're on the go and have a family. I would have to make the sauce by scratch. Buy the veggies and cook them. Then get Chicken and bake that. All in all its a two hour job. Cooking is done best on the weekends when its family time and you're all together interacting.
If you are a person without children then you have no one to answer to accept yourself. No priorities except your job and maybe some Three F clubs, Knights Of Columbus, etc. etc. that you may belong to, you get the picture.
My schedule is as follows:
5am: Gym
6:30am: Get Home Shower
7:30am: Arrive at work
5pm: Arrive home
5:30pm Take Shower
6pm: Eat dinner
6:45pm: Help kids with homework
7:30pm Play board game/interact with children
8pm: Watch a tv show with kids
8:30pm: Put children to bed
9pm: Time with wife
11pm: Bed.
Not taking in account Dance, Mon thru Thursday , Piano on Friday and another dance lesson on Saturday. Monday thru Thurday is when I throw a Healthy Choice in the microwave while the wife takes kids to activities.
As you can see there is not much time for meal prep. Homemade dinner is usually done on Holidays, weekends, vacations.

You're schedule in your other post is crazy, exhausting, and proves your point. I'm single, and have no kids....just a dog to take care of, and cooking all the time is a pain in the ass.
I am a big fan of having these in my freezer at all times. Although, for Healhy Choice's selection I prefer their steamer bowls the most. No need to vent, heat, take out, stir, re-cover, heat again, and then take out to eat. Just take them out of the box, microwave for 4-4:30, take out, dump basket with food into the dish that contains the now heated sauce, stir, and eat. They cost about a dollar more than the other Healthy Choice meals in the flat trays, but I can find them in the weekly ads on sale for either $2.50 or $2.00 at least at one store every single week.
An even better deal, for the flat tray meals is Smart Ones. I grabbed 2 of my faves from the freezer to give breakdown:
Slow roasted turkey breast w/garlic&herb mashed potatoes: 18p, 17c, 4f, 2fbr, 170 cals
Creamy Rigatoni w/Broccoli & Chicken: 16p, 40c, 4f, 3fbr, 260 cals
Regular price for all Smart Ones containing meat is $2.00. I find them on sale whenever I'm running low for between $1.50 - $1.75... Just picked up 7 last wk on sale at Walmart for $1.64/each. I've actually gotten them one time on a $10 for 10 deal! :o
So if the argument is that the cals and protein are higher in these "meal prep" companies meals for ONLY $8......just cook two of any of these for anywhere between $3-$5, which you can just pick up while doing your normal grocery shopping vs. going on line, spending more $, hoping your home when delivered, unpacking them, and disposing/wasting styro coolers and packaging instead. Simple and cheap 8)

Quit your job, leave the wife and kids, move into a van parked in the parking lot at Gold's and spend all your time bodybuilding. Get a George Foreman grill to cook your meals in the gym parking lot. Bodybuilding is about 100% commitment. No excuses!
