He lived in NC so I'm wondering if Vince Goodrum will have some type of "insider" stories. His channel is going to get a lot of traffic.

He passed nearly a month ago.  That's some slow-traveling news.

He was good in Going Home with Robert Mitchum and Brenda Vaccaro.

What caused it?

Was it alcoholism that gave him all his illnesses?

https://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/ny-ent-jan-michael-vincent-dead-74-story.html

A death certificate shows that Vincent died of cardiac arrest on Feb. 10, 2019, in an Asheville, North Carolina, hospital.
The certificate signed by a doctor says he died of natural causes and no autopsy was performed.

It wasn’t clear why it took several weeks for news of the death to surface before it was first reported Friday by TMZ.
Messages left at phone listings for Vincent and his wife weren’t immediately returned Friday.

One of the stars of "Danger Island" which was part of the "Banana Splits Adventure Hour" TV show in the late sixties.

He was an alcoholic druggie.  He did it to himself.  What a maroon.

i liked him in the 1972 movie the mechanic.

He was amazing in that role Funk. I only saw that after I saw Defiance (1980).
Went to the drive-in to see it (remember those?) with 2 friends and his older brother who dove us.

Great movie (Defiance) w/ Danny Aiello.

I also remember the hot girl in Defiance, who later got attacked by some whack job but survived.

Physically a true alpha
Wrestler neck, granite jawline and to have such physique at 1970's... such a waste of premium genetics...

There's over 10 million people that reside in North Carolina....why the fuck would I have any insider stories about him.   Everything was public....he was a drunk, drug abuser, tax cheat, and a wife beater.   The only inside information I have is that he died and went inside a bodybag and then inside a coffin.   The only thing spectacular about it is that he lived to be 74 years old.   I saw the dude one time and he was in horrible shape, even with both of his legs

Yup.  The last film I can recall actually seeing him in was "Hooper" (a Burt Reynolds flick!  ;D ).  His was a life destroyed by drugs and alcohol.  It's said the candle that burns twice as bright, burns half as long but in his case it was snuffed out by him.  First his career and then over the years, his body, his appearance and finally his life.

Doing drugs and alcohol seems to be the common cause of demise and death for a great many people, famous or not.   One would think others might learn from these examples, but no.  Stupid runs deep in mankind.
