He didn't like George Farrah. ;D
-
I'll have a King Kamali, an order of fries and a Mountain Dew.
-
Greasy, broad-abusing retard with stage six Palumboism.
-
All women want to be with him, all men want to be like him.
True - I admire his hairline and his fashion sense... 8)
-
Always thought his hairline looked rock solid but judging by some more recent snaps it looks like he has managed to fuck it up.

I think that is why he wears the bandana now.

Weak detail in thighs, so so calves...

Absolutely phenomenal body for a guido. Not really a bodybuilding "physique", though.

did he claim royalty

I know you guys don’t like him (im not a fan of his posing or lack of) But you have to admit he looks pretty damm good in the video!...

Purple t shirt pic is weird looking, obviously he’s still big yet looks so small at the same time.weird looking duded
-
Say what you want about him or his posing but that was one of the best choreographed routines I’ve seen and all I’ve been doing latly is going through posing footage and music.

Nothing beats that slow, classic posing, holding the various poses for a nice long flex, 5-10 seconds, smooth transitions, keep it classy, display the statue.
-
What made a big impression on me in the video is how his modesty and humbleness stood out.
-
King looked good at his best.
He did look good for him there,
Though oil in delts & biceps noticeable plus gut already popping out

Jeez - He looks Awful Physique & Face (Health) wise in those pics
Are they fairly Recent ?

They were pretty old - but these are from September/Olympia - still growing like a weed there
-

Agreed. Not the best structure for bodybuilding, but at his best, he was shredded and knew how to work with what he had incredibly well. I also agree in that he had a great head of hair and was probably one of the better looking (facial characteristics) guys on stage.

He never looked good. Never. One of the absolutely worst IFBB Pros ever. Earned his Pro Card through perseverance and lack of competition.
He did have an IFBB Pro Card when is meant something, not like today where it means nothing... but he was always terrible. Absolutely terrible.

Thought I'd post something more recent. This is from just a couple days ago - it's a couple of seconds about his new Generation Iron gig - full clip here:

Look at those cheek bones - is he doing a Masters show or something...?
(And before you ask - yes, that is the K3 - aka King Kamali Kitchen 8)

I gave it a shot but I could not bear to watch the "Fap-Dance routine". Absolutely shameful for a "man" to behave like a common 'ho. As said elsewhere, he did have a handsome face and a pretty damn good physique, but that routine was just plain wronger.

Brutal 650 sq ft living space, 80’s colors and decor kitchen
-
True - I admire his hairline and his fashion sense... 8)
Those quads look like they went the way of Coleman's triceps and biceps... ugly lumps.
That video of him "training" by running up the little hill and doing air squats was the most pathetic thing I have ever seen from him. It showed how badly he is suffering from the way he was gasping for air.
-
I agree that the posing has been carefully put together. But this was an over hyped physique even in its prime. The pointy synthol shoulders should have been judged way down. Future gut development was already in the making also.

Oops! Animated gif backfire for some people, not sure why
Static version of King last week for those who can't see the first embed (and of course those that won't clich thru to IG out of principle)
Followed by one from maybe a year ago where it was really starting to look like he had those 'imminent renal failure' cheeks (I feared for his health at that time)

Anyone got that footage of Tamali running hill 'sprints'?

Sorry man - I lost the originals when PostImage made me open a new account :(
If someone can link me to the original IG post I can remake them, but I don't have an IG account and wouldn't know how to search through his account anyway

What? That they are "growing like a weed?" or "ready to do battle?"

He got older, fatter and even more irrelevant. It usually happens to actresses.

All jealousy:

Why does he stay at a big and bloated 280-300lbs? If you're not competing what's the point? Seriously?
-
Also what happened to his wife.? R they still married?
-

His fragile ego couldn’t handle being smaller. This bastard is as insecure as a gym thot. Will probably die way too young. Like Nasser.
-
His posing routine was top notch! He actually spent time choreographing it...unlike most pros.
-
Looks like a fat greasy kebab shop worker

Another of King's fantastic routines:
-
I gotta` say,when I met him once in NYC,he was a really good guy.
-
Another of King's fantastic routines:
It actually would have been a great routine if he didn't shake his ass, and if he would have done a bit less spastic dancing and more actual posing.
-
Giant, sweaty turd. Gobs of grease always in his hair.
His physique became hammered with the most aggressive Palumboism I’ve yet seen. Truly remarkable descent into looking like mangled ostrich shit.
I sat directly behind him at some show and he verbally abused his girlfriend the whole time. Treated the andro-heavy gal horribly. Plus he was smelling up the immediate area something fierce.
Fucking goober.
-

That's why he has to be so obese big and cocky.

just when you thought he couldn't look more shitty...
-
This dude is severely mentally ill.
By any measure he looks like absolute shit.
-
Maybe the mask is throwing his symmetry off - try one without...
-
He is the Tom Sizemore of muscledom.
-
All I see is mental illness, King trying to make it as a pro was like watching a kid running 13 seconds over the 100m thinking with drugs he was the next carl lewis, it takes genetics and drugs, unfortunately like many he didn't have enough of of the most important one and ended up walking around more like a side effect than a pro. But he's not on his own.
-
He is the Tom Sizemore of muscledom.
:D
That works on so many levels - bravo!
-
I always liked King. He was interesting to listen to, and he was was funny.. and never boring.
-
By now he must have worn a groove in the grass up that hill.
His condition is on-point!
:D
-
At his best he looked great. Posing was fantastic and bit of borrowed posing stuff from Vince Taylor. So few make money from bodybuilding. Where do you go when you juice and compete from 20 to 30 years old without a career? This sport based on drugs is really a dead end.
-
Absolutely phenomenal body for a guido. Not really a bodybuilding "physique", though.
;D
How is top ten at the Olympia, not really a bodybuilding physique?
He never looked good. Never. One of the absolutely worst IFBB Pros ever. Earned his Pro Card through perseverance and lack of competition.
He did have an IFBB Pro Card when is meant something, not like today where it means nothing... but he was always terrible. Absolutely terrible.
He turned pro before Johnnie Jackson, Branch Warren, or Victor Martinez.
And, he placed top ten at the Olympia his rookie year, after a top 5 placing at the Arnold Classic against the likes of Dennis James, Chris Cormier, and Ronnie Coleman.
He seemed to have peaked in 2001. But, I'd hardly call that terrible.

King 4 POTUS 2024
-
There's a short clip of King, possibly on his treadmill, from back in his prime competitive years, where he says something along the lines of:
"Everybody told me I couldn't do it. That I'd never make it. For everyone who said I couldn't do it... thanks."
If anyone could please let me know where that's from, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. :)

Herniated cervical disks.

Tons of minor and major muscle tears. Obvious deformities and damage (scar tissue etc) from site injecting. It appears to me as though the healthy parts of his muscle still responds, it's just that he has so much damage. His back might still be good, and it was his best bodypart when competing. Probably due to injury resistance.
As far as the low hairline, few things make you look more stupid in my opinion and it's just ugly in general. Others obviously disagree.
-
True - I admire his hairline and his fashion sense... 8)
Fat bloated mess.

If he was 200lbs lean and fit he would get the same level of critique here at Getbig, the place where one never wins.

i commented he might want to move around the lateral and posterior delt shots a little cuz he had a super noticeable knot in the Battle for the Olympia tape i picked up at the Olympia (i remember how stoked i was when my ex surprised me with it on the drive home in 01 lol... now we have youtube lol).. anyways, he banned me on MuscleMayhem for it. lol dude was a little sensitive back then
-
Entertaining and a pretty good physique in his prime! (Top ten at the MR Olympia one year?) still living the lifestyle (making pet names for his wayyy too young girlfriends and not backing off on supplements) ….what more could you ask for???!!???

Plazmosis was the real deal. It's the reason why 10 years after it was discontinued Kamali is still growing like a weed.

You don't make the top 10 at the Olympia, unless you're a great bodybuilder. Being "terrible" doesn't get you to compete in the Olympia multiple times.

Have to agree. As much as I fuck with him on here, it's all just breaking balls (a la GoodFellas)
Maybe it's a good time to repost the infamous Kamali Kitchen pics, just... well.... because he did use to have great quads, etc...
-
Fuck, what happened to him??
Looks like 1977 Elvis :-X
-
King looked great in the 90's.
But all the oil in his arms and the growth to his abdomen area (Palumboism) destroyed his physique.
He was very strong back in the day, but relied heavily on smith machines, which were very popular at the time.
I knew a guy who trained with King in the late 90's. Said he was strong as fuck and really nice to everyone.
He needs to hang it up, he's a walking disaster and will probably stroke out soon.
-
Looks like a robotic gay cowboy with spastic movenents...
Well then he nailed it, cause that’s the look he was going for back then.
-

It's only the 2 of us who ever noticed the tears. Never seen anyone comment here ever.
Lots of small tears everywhere. His back was good. Not much else was elite level imo.

Also, King didn’t have the genetics of a Cormier where he could get away with partying and still show up in shape. I believe that was a big part of his demise. He never looked good again after his NYC club drug days
-
Took him a minute and a half to hit his first bodybuilding pose. Should be marked down for that nonsense...

In a Smith, so around (roughly) 600, and his depth is non-existent. Seriously, he’s several inches above parallel at his lowest position.
-
I know you guys don’t like him (im not a fan of his posing or lack of) But you have to admit he looks pretty damm good in the video!...
I agree with you here, Mike! No doubt about it - King looked amazing in his prime, which was probably either that year [2001], or when he turned pro in 1999. King placed 10th in 2001, which means that King can say, for a period of time, he was one of the ten best bodybuilders in the world. Off-topic slightly, but I don't know how Gunter Schlierkamp only came 15th in 2001. But hey - that was up to the judges.
King's back double biceps was amazing. One of the best in the business during his prime [in terms of detail and separation/aesthetics, and it's not exactly like he was lacking in size there!].
His arms were a weak point, but were huge in person.
Also, despite the Bad Boy image he presented in media, King was a nice guy. He gave me free copies of both his DVD's at the 2007 Arnold Classic for review, but I already owned the first one.
While Craig Titus was clearly a murderous scumbag, beyond all the hype with King, he was a nice guy. From one dad to the next, I can tell you that he loved his kids very much.
King always had a problem with anonymous posters attacking him online. It always bothered him. I remember him saying he only called out Shawn Ray to get his name circulated in the bodybuilding press. I do think he was annoyed with out-sizing Shawn and being beaten by him - but no one can deny Shawn's shape and aesthetics.
One thing about King is that once his physique regressed, he never seemed to really get it back.
He did look good in 2008 in Atlantic City, but that was an outlier in what was otherwise a consistent downward trend for him.
It's funny how that happens to some pros and not others. For whatever reason, King was never able to reproduce the physique of his glory days.
But one thing is for sure - no one can say King looked bad in his prime.
-
Have to agree. As much as I fuck with him on here, it's all just breaking balls (a la GoodFellas)
Maybe it's a good time to repost the infamous Kamali Kitchen pics, just... well.... because he did use to have great quads, etc...
Exactly right.
People throw him some shade on here, but I think if any of us are being honest, he looked fantastic in his prime. For whatever reason, he crashed and burned sooner than most pros did, but maybe that was because he was training from a very young age [old contest shot below].
In a photo when he was 13, he had more mass than I do now, lol. Not that that is saying much - but perhaps training from such an early age burnt his physique out relatively early in his career.
As for King looking terrible - compared to Ronnie Coleman, sure. Even King at his best, would probably look like an amateur compared to Ronnie.
But at the 2003 Olympia, even Jay Cutler looked like an amateur compared to Ronnie. So that's not an insult [maybe Jay didn't look like an AMATEUR...but he was #2, yet clearly nowhere near Ronnie].
And King himself admitted that no one was in Ronnie's league.
I couldn't find the article below on Getbig, but Ron was kind enough to let me use it on my website, and here is an archived version:
1. Ronnie Coleman: The best way to say this is with this analogy: we are all gorillas, Ronnie is the silver back. The man is a super freak among freaks. He deserved this win and I congratulate him on his victory. Ronnie is a great champion but, he is not invincible. I think he got a big wake up call by losing the muscularity round to Cutler. This was a big lesson for all of us and that is never say never.

Love King or hate him - I don't think anyone can deny he looked great in his prime, if they are being honest.
Here's a blast from the past - an Ironage interview with King by Getbig Leader Ron! To think that was 21 years ago now:

Probably shoulders too - although he was accused of synthol use, they look pretty round in the kitchen shots that Taffin posted.
I think pros can get away with having one or two elite parts, as long as they others are "good enough". King also came in dry, and that's probably what vaulted him to the elite level.
Once his conditioning regressed, he never really came back from it.

Yes - but nothing like the one I had in Darren's vegan thread.
I get defensive about King, because if he "looks like shit", how bad must people think I look?
I get that different standards are held for pro bodybuilders versus normal lifters, but for the life of me, I don't exactly see a physique riddled with flaws here:

Yep

Kamali looked pretty good back in the day. The issue is he bulked so much he eventually just couldn't dial it back in and now appears stuck in the perma bulk phase.

Zero forearms.
Weak calves.
Delts and biceps pumped full of oil.
That's a huge distraction.
I think King looked amazing in the 90's.
But he over cooked himself later in his career.
He looks like shit today, but 20+ years ago he was middle of the pack as a Pro. He had a lot of very good competition.

He almost looks like a completely different person.... ???

Same here. Best I’ve ever seen him look

Chad ruined him. I'm honestly surprised he's still alive. Met him at the Arnold in 2002 I believe. He was working whatever booth was sponsoring him. Pretty cool guy and willing to chat it up with just about anyone.

I was just thinking about his forearms as a weak point after seeing the photo posted by Taffin - I cant deny that, or anything that you said.
But he was at one point, among the top ten bodybuilders in the world - even if he got gifted a couple of places, that would put him at 12th in 2001.
Heck, even if he was last place in 2001 - it's still the best bodybuilding show on earth.
He did crash and burn though - like few I've ever seen. Like, what happened? Did he stop responding to gear entirely or something? ??? Seems like it.

Kamali is his own worst enemy if he dropped some weight he would look a lot better

I get defensive about King, because if he "looks like shit", how bad must people think I look?
I think Walter Sobchak's been pretty clear on this issue.

Yes - but nothing like the one I had in Darren's vegan thread.

I get that different standards are held for pro bodybuilders versus normal lifters, but for the life of me, I don't exactly see a physique riddled with flaws here:
Yeah he looked good before a show and seemed to always carb up way too much and smooth over with a distended stomach.

This is awesome GA.

My guess is that Walter Sobchak is another Sarcasm-like fellow, who talks a big talk, but looks horrible, hence why he won't post pictures.

His flaws were obvious. He had comparatively weak arms / forearms and it wrecked him. They got weaker as the Palumboism began to take hold.
He should be congratulated for ever getting as far as he did - the one thing that really does not work for pros is weak arms.

When you blast crazy amounts of AAS, GH, Slin, IGF and other peptides for 20 years it can cause Palumboism.
Not 100% sure on the mechanism, as not all Pro's seem to get as bad as King.
With gear abuse for a long period, lots of injuries, muscle tears and nerve issues, the body starts to go backwards.
His body is deteriorating on the inside.
On borrowed time.
I always liked King, but he's addicted to this lifestyle.
Should have walked away 10+ years ago.

Genetics-wise, he got very far with what he had. Which is a compliment and he should rightfully be proud of the accomplishment. If you analyzed his body he was nowhere near top 10 in the world at any time. His back was great but the rest was comparatively poor. Does that mean he didn't deserve to place where he did? No, it means he managed to top off everything in a certain way where he managed to rightfully beat a ton of genetically better bodybuilders.
What happend to him? Well he damaged his body in various ways but it looks extra bad in his case because he didn't have lots of room to deteriorate before it looked extra shitty. Due to genetics. For example, like in his case, if you have very short biceps to begin with you can't afford to lose any size/length/shape at all due to tears/oil lumps or whatever.
Rich Gaspari is another example of a guy who got extremely far with what he had. If you looked at Rich after his career you would wonder how he ever got as far as he did. Like Kamali.
Some bodybuilders are shit/very good at the same time. There are more examples. Look at Branch Warren. If you analyzed his bodyparts you wonder how in the hell he ever placed second in the world. But imo he did probably deserve it at one time.

King is mutating into a lump of Palumbian dogshit at record speed.

He almost looks like a completely different person.... ???
