I came in here to make a "loved him in enter the dragon" joke but stan's too much of a legend to disrespect.

I met him a few years ago at the bar in the hotel we were both staying in.  (Waiting for our tables in the adjoining dining room)

Very pleasant guy and he absolutely LOVED discussing comics with anyone.  He was like a kid.  We talked about quite a few things from both Marvel and DC and he gave honest opinions about each.  Regarding positive and negative aspects.  He was very interested in what other people thought too.  He would really pay attention to the things they commented on.  Best part was that we shared a lot of the same viewpoints.
