This is a joke pic as far as those prices right?
I googled CA dollars to USD, and put in 126.9 which tells me that equals 94.76 USD. No way that can be the actual price???
Also, doesn't CA sell in liters not gallons? That would make that 94.76 x 4 almost to equal a per gallon price.....no fucking way can that be serious

Statement by the Prime Minister of Canada on the death of former Cuban President Fidel Castro
Antananarivo, Madagascar - November 26, 2016
The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the death of former Cuban President Fidel Castro:
“It is with deep sorrow that I learned today of the death of Cuba’s longest serving President.
“Fidel Castro was a larger than life leader who served his people for almost half a century. A legendary revolutionary and orator, Mr. Castro made significant improvements to the education and healthcare of his island nation.
“While a controversial figure, both Mr. Castro’s supporters and detractors recognized his tremendous dedication and love for the Cuban people who had a deep and lasting affection for “el Comandante”.
“I know my father was very proud to call him a friend and I had the opportunity to meet Fidel when my father passed away. It was also a real honour to meet his three sons and his brother President Raúl Castro during my recent visit to Cuba.
“On behalf of all Canadians, Sophie and I offer our deepest condolences to the family, friends and many, many supporters of Mr. Castro. We join the people of Cuba today in mourning the loss of this remarkable leader.”

Here's Trump's full statement:
"Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades. Fidel Castro's legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights.
While Cuba remains a totalitarian island, it is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long, and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve.
Though the tragedies, deaths and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased, our administration will do all it can to ensure the Cuban people can finally begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty. I join the many Cuban Americans who supported me so greatly in the presidential campaign, including the Brigade 2506 Veterans Association that endorsed me, with the hope of one day soon seeing a free Cuba."

That speaks volumes about Canada's leader, and the direction he'd like to take the country in. It makes me wish Jim Carrey, Baldwin, Cher, and the others that claimed they would move there if Trump won would keep their word.

It’s already there. Canadians don’t even realize the extent to which they have been indoctrinated. I didn’t realize it until I saw their reaction to Trump getting elected. It’s unfortunate as Canadians are some of the nicest people.

So roughly $5 per gallon then if I'm finding the right conversion on google?
Still steep, but not quite 2x what it is the midwest where it's common for commercial transportation so unless most cars in Canada are fueled by diesel I guess it's not that terrible....it's actually pretty close to what they pay in Cali. https://www.gasbuddy.com/Station/11544 (Just picked Malibu from a list after typing in LA)

3.78 lit in a US gallon = $4.80 a US gallon. We’re at .75 so take that off of $4.80 and you have $3.60 USD per gallon.

Canadians are so fucking brainwashed. Way worse than Yanks. This guy is an unapologetic ass and gives 2 shits about the working class. Voted in by feminists...

LOL!
Love me some Looney Tunes! "I'm a chicken hawk darn it, and I hunt chickens"

The SNC-Lavalin scandal has without question exposed Trudeau as a totally corrupt shitbag without an ounce of integrity or character.
It’s terrifying he was voted in in the first place.
He’s a nuclear warhead on Canada as a great nation.
-
Socialist scum. How was he ever elected.
Nice to see you posting, nicorulez! I haven't seen too many of your posts lately - maybe I missed them.
I can field your question:
Stephen Harper abused his majority-government, somewhat.
Leftists are obviously...well...batsh it insane. And they are stopping Canada from...like...literally extracting any resources from the earth.
So...
Harper muzzled our scientists at some point between 2011 to 2016. This seemed a bit dictatorial. In addition to a couple of other things like that, that were perceived as abuses of power.
I sort of understand that - but leftists are so damn annoying - driving cars, using plastics like crazy, but demanding we not take our natural resources from the ground. Because screw economic prosperity or...you know...energy independence. ::)
So yeah...it wasn't so much as Trudeau winning, as much as it was Harper losing.
And of course women voted for Trudeau en masse. ::) Which brings us back to the following quote - something I've heard before:
"Before women had the right to vote, only men would be become president. Once women achieved the right to vote - the best looking man would become president."
Replace president for prime minister, and Trudeau being elected can be explained.
-
Actually quite smart to raise fuel taxes imo:
Trump for instance complains about oil prices being too high. No wonder if you looks at the tens of millions of gas guzzlers in the USA.
If Americans would buy more frugal cars and trucks (diesel or electric for example), there would be less demand for oil = lower prices
And less air pollution, less money to middle eastern states, less climate change, it has a lot of advantages I think
(I drive a diesel)
