Michael Lewis' depiction in Moneyball of the different game approaches between the Olympian, godlike Billy Beane and vulgar, satyrlike Lenny Dykstra was memorable: briefly, Dykstra had disdain for every opponent, which was a mental plus that Beane, who never fulfilled his massive promise, did not have (in this retelling, toward the legendary Steve Carlton -- "So, who's that big dumb ass out there on the hill?").

Imagine how many racial slurs a great white nba player takes by the time he is an established player in the nba..."Punk white boy, fuckin white boy, white bitch...stop shooting the ball white bitch.."..then forced to jump around in a pregame hype up circle with the team chanting some rap shit.....some poor white boy from Indiana just loves the game and has to endure that shit.
