Hysterical...
http://70sbig.com/blog/2009/10/if-you-wanna-be-the-man-you-gotta-out-eat-the-man/
“For lunch you’re gonna eat Chinese food. Now I don’t want you eating that crappy stuff. You wanna get the stuff with MSG. None of that non-MSG bullshit.
I don’t care what you eat but you have to sit down and eat for at least 45 minutes straight. You can’t let go of the fork.
Eat until your eyes swell up and become slits and you start to look like the woman behind the counter.”

Yup. I used to drink up to 3 gallons of milk a day. I drank half and half. I drank whipping cream. I drank kefir. I ate a couple dozen eggs a day. I ate buckets of KFC, so much so that the suburb of Watts wept because of a supposed KFC shortage for their area. I ate my way to massivity. ;D
But I stopped at around 250 pounds. That was about the max my frame felt "comfortable" at. Considering that I worked as a manual laborer, the calories were put to good use in and out of the gym. ;D

sounds like the eating habits of most americans.

I remember when I first started to lift weights, I was eating multiple steaks per day, trying to look like an IFBB pro. Can’t imagine the amount of money I spent on trying to eat 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.

Just cause it came up a few months ago in my feed, here he is about 25 years later explaining his other big contribution to powerlifting -

Eating 1 gram per pound can be very cheap. Eggs, liver, protein powder, sardines, pork, chicken, and tuna are dirt cheap. Even some lean steak cuts are dirt cheap.

I felt fine. No problems digesting milk products.

For the vast majority of guys, even guys on gear, eating too much on a regular basis just means getting fat.

The larger/stronger getbiggers only eat filet mignon, well done, side of ketchup.

getting big and looking and feeling good are two different things.... i ate more over the winter, because i'm doing alot more manual labor... but still felt full and pudgy and was down to a 4 pack... i'll take the 6/8 pack and some vascularity over permabulk any day.,

You can get away with eating like absolute shit as long as you don’t eat too much of it

How is 3 gallons a day of any liquid possible?? I feel like you’d be pissing all day

I worked as a laborer and then went to the gym for 2 or 3 hours afterwards. I ate several thousand calories a day and burned through it. It wasn't easy but it was honest work in and out of the gym.

yep - most mesomorphs and endomorphs would benefit so much from prolonged fasting. not 12-18 but 36 hour fasting.
it a fucking cheat code on life with getting cut even more so if you are a meso or endo.

I was always naturally very lean. I ran track in high school and college along with lifting. Once out of college I wanted to get big. I think for over a decade I drank those gain weight shakes twice a day. Think they had 600 to 700 calories a drink. Full of saturated fat back then. I got big or so I thought. Now I wish I could return to being thin, lean and muscular. Don't get me wrong. I'm happy with how I look now but it's next to impossible for this natural lifter to get back to what I was.
If given the choice always pick lean over big.
