Watching Rhoden post his workouts on his instagram story everyday.
He is training very lazy. Focused more on his clothes.
Yet Phil seems pissed off, and is doing everything he can to reclaim the Sandow.
I see Phil coming back with a greatly reduced midsection, like Roelly did a year or two ago.
And I wouldnt be suprised if we see a guy like Curry, or even McMilllan if he can put it together, take that 2nd spot.
I just doubt Rhoden will be as good as he was last year.

Heath will hop his way into first place while Rhoden falls into the bunny hole into second place.

Phils midsection is toast, he's done.

It’s ironic because the judges overlooked big guts for years.. allowing guys to place high despite their guts.
It is noteworthy to mention that Heath crushes Rhoden on the rear-double bicep pose, side tricep pose and most-muscular pose.

I think if he wears a waist trainer/back brace all year and keeps his abs sucked in a vacuum all day he should be able to bring it in..

That's changed -- finally.

Training hard is not going to make any difference. Phil is not losing his gut and Rhoden is not gaining one. The only thing that would make Phil Mr.O again is if the IFBB thinks they can make more money with Phil (the bad guy who everyone hates) as the Mr.O.

its not even clear if he will do the olympia

Its April, why would Rhoden be training like an animal now??

I dont think it's the size, didn't he have surgery? Just looked mis-shaped and deformed last year if I remember right.

Yeah, but IIRC, he said the first hernia surgery was shitty or some such, and that he needed another to fix his "gut."
IF Heath can streamline his waist, he could easily take the title back from Boredoden. Shawn has one really good pose, ab and thigh...Phil is narrow as hell, but he does have great back thickness, exceptional triceps and, even though his pecs suffer because of his girly clavicles, they are deeply cut and striated in the side chest pose.
Don't fix the gut? He's cooked. But I still wouldn't bet on Shawn repeating. My money is probably on Brandon Curry.

is it too late for dorian to make a comeback?

For those who don't think Heath can bring his waist in...
Its April, why would Rhoden be training like an animal now??
Because he is supposed to be a bodybuilder...
-
Because he is supposed to be a bodybuilder...
LOL. the effect of going on the gas swamps any lack of intensity this time of year. Supposed to be a bodybuilder = taking special supplements

Not about bringing his waist in, it's about fixing what the dr fucked up and I don't think that can be done.

those pics are about 10 years apart, with the jacked one being the "before" pic

I'm unaware of claims about a doctor causing the gut but I find it hard to believe since this is something that gradually became worse over the years with him

But you dont find it hard to believe Phil can get his gut under control, by using a belly band?
Do you have an example of a pro who was able to reclaim their stomach once they lost control of it?
Also you think Rhodens workouts are lazy compared to the intensity Phil displays? Do you even read what you post?
-
Phil’s gut is the only thing that’s still growing.
He’s finished.
These guys are all drugs, great response to said drugs and consistent (half-assed) pump workouts.
I miss the days when I didn’t know all I now do. When I believed the drugs were not, like, 90 percent of a bodybuilder’s success.

Phil seems motivated this year
And I already posted a video of Roelly Winklaar , who made extreme improvements to his gut in one years time

Drugs make the body, not 90%, but 900% more muscular
But at the same time, drugs alone, apart from hard training and a high protein diet, aren't going to make a bodybuilder.
Now when it comes to being an elite bodybuilder, everyone is already taking drugs, and most already have good genetics. At that point a lot of it does have to do with training, etc.

Agreed. What's seen cannot be unseen.

Motivated? To train and diet? Have his workout videos been more intense?
The video does show impressive but i'm not convinced the stomach issues are the same.
