Title: Don Long was humble and well-spoken in this clip
Post by: Royalty on April 23, 2019, 02:59:11 PM
This has probably been put up on this site before, but it’s a good reminder of Don’s days in the NPC. I know that things did not end well for him (health and legally). Hopefully he learns the lessons that he needs to learn.

I met Don at the Arnold expo around 95-96.  He was working the Vivarin booth.  He was extremely well spoken and polite.  I walked away with probably 100 samples of vivarin he threw in a bag for me.  Great guy

he’s in prison now, not sure if he’s released

Once a drug dealer, always a drug dealer

Craig Titus and Don Long placed 2nd and 3rd at the ‘94 Nationals. According to Dave Palumbo, Titus was dealing drugs (ecstasy and cocaine) at the time. Now Craig and Don are in prison. And even more depressing, Paul Demayo who won the ‘94 Nationals; died of a drug overdose (heroin)

In 10 years time we’ll start hearing about the 2000’s bbers

Wheeler will prob need another kidney, Ronnie will be in a wheelchair still, priest will be unrecognizable with more stupid tatts, dexter will still be competing with torn muscles everywhere, Shawn will be too busy being his daughters manager, Jay will be down to his 14th gold digging gf,  and Levrone will still be contemplating another comeback

It will be interesting to see what happens to Yates. Nasser And Matarazzo died, Yates was the same age as those two guys. As of now, It looks like Yates may have had the GENETICS to withstand the heavy drug use.

I have read on a bodybuilding forum (probably getbig) that Dillett has a lot of chronic joint poin.

I think Dorian is going to be ok, dexter should retire, he stated if he doesn’t win any shows or place where he wants (he hasn’t won since 2016) he’ll retire. 50 years old nothing to prove, preserve your health

Ironically dillet was one of the lightest lifters

When the dude found out he was being investigated, instead of quitting, he just put new labels on the drugs.   WTF?? LOL!!

So he’s not a drug dealer? He just so happened to get caught up with this mess, and he’s actually a good boy, right?

So, explain? Was it all a misunderstanding?

Long Dong was a very quick blip on the scene. A new ... and boring ... physique, and then he was gone. Aren’t his kidneys dissolving why he quit?

And now he’s in jail. Good stuff.

Funny, looking at that video now, it’s too bad a majority of today’s pros’s physiques aren’t as “boring”. Still, Dong’s biceps relaxed by his sides always appeared off to me. Can’t explain it.

Don had a great physique. Better than most of the pros today.

Your quote was “once a drug dealer always a drug dealer” as if all people that were once drug dealers are STILL drug dealers. Isn’t that what you meant?

Isnt he right, Coach? Or one could only repent in the name of the almighty Jesus Christ?

I seem to remember in the Mags, Long cooking a kidney, did he get implant or living off of one only?
I wonder if he was still using the gearz?

His wife got 1 year home confinement, she's still young w/ time to get her shit together moving FWD.
(Drugs are bad, Mmmkay)?

A lot of the modern day "BB coach's" do the same thing, write their plans, their cycles, get gear from a UGL source, and double the price, some even brew their own.
And twinks pay thousands for the plastic trophy and Instagram hits.

Very, very strange behavior. All the info is out there, but they still need a coach. All the old school guys just did it themselves.

Imagine being told what to eat, what to lift, when to do both, what to inject, etc? (Top level guys, I see it I guess, amateur twinks, nope)...
