Smart move, although "print" is a difficult line of business.
Extreme bodybuilding is a dead end street, financially and in terms of sales
-
This gives Mr. Goodrum a chance to be featured in a magazine.
-
And on our 1st cover will be Big Ramy, a hard working natural athlete!!

Loved Iron Man back in the 80's-90's. Running a successful print magazine today is going to be rough.

Foolish foolish business move. Who authorized this you ask? I did too---so I just looked it up.
It appears one of the owners has a history of foolish deals....and MURDER! (yes another spine tingling adventure)
The Rise and Fall of Don Lapre, Doug Grant, and
"The Greatest Vitamin in the World"
In 2009, Grant was convicted of manslaughter related to his wife's death and sentenced to five years in prison

Yes, the fly in the ointment seems to be that newsstands are a thing of the past.

Interesting read. I remember that dude's infomercials back in the 90's. I was curious about the murder part though, so I looked up the doug grant guy.
Strange case. She had an accident falling off a cliff not long before her accidental drowning. I would fight like hell that I didn't do anything wrong if it was really an accident that I had nothing to do with.

I personally would rather have a physical magazine than look at one online.

Today There's an instant gratification that people seeks online and nothing more , the constant come and go of info, too much of everything, that's why memes" are so popular but so forgettable at same time .....
The physical magazine might not be popular , but somehow you always remember the pics and articles (even the month they were published) that happens with a magazine you own or have read. That stays with you.
-
Might be the right path to take. Men's health sells all over the world and dwarfs all bodybuilding magazines combined in circulation. Their ads are car companies, Breitling watches, and high end clothes. Just looked at Iron Man's cover. Is that natural? ;D

Speaking of Ironman magazine ; This was an Ironman cover that got my attention , I even made a thread here about it , amazing physique and muscle separation on this dude, very inspiring though he is not as old as he looks in that photo ..... wonder what was his BF percentage
WoooSHHHHHHHHHH TA NA KA

A teenage Thin Lizzy would go on a journey to buy Iron Man every month as it wasn’t available in many newsstands, but times change and that form just isn’t viable anymore. We tend to remember the good but not the bad, like a three month lag between contests and being able to read about them and see pics in a mag.

I so regret that I threw away my collection from h.s. through about 2001. So much history, pics and articles I'll never see again, and so much stuff to look back on and laugh at how naive I was.
Also, they were a great way to bring back memories. I chucked them around 2005, or so when I left my ex and moved back from MN. I remember looking through some of them b4 I did, and remembering things like where I read an article, how old I was, what I looked like, changes in training I made because of something I read, selling HMB and feeling despicable because I thought it was shit (tried to talk them out of it tho), and being at the gym with a co-worker looking at the 2001 Olympia pics and arguing with him. >:( (He was a Cutler fanatic :-\) All gone down a trash chute within 20 minutes of walking 8-10 boxes full of them down the hall, and watching them drop out of each box in a trail. :'(

go back to this format.
Back in the day, when I read da muscle books, Ironman was my favorite. It had a no frills, bare bones style. Muscle Mag was too glitzy and M&F was a Weider Infomercial.

Me too.

The only thing worse than a men's bikini Iron Man Magazine is a natural men's bikini magazine.

When I threw out all my magazines there was only one I kept and that was Ironman from the Rader years. I think I have about 100 plus some going way back.
