Title: 38 year Time Warp
Post by: Coach is Back! on May 04, 2019, 10:21:09 AM
Trying my best to make this site somewhat bodybuilding related...

Says I was 19. I was 18 when this contest pic was taken. So long ago I can't remember the show.

You always looked fucking great Joe........still do for that matter.

You are a true testament to what years of hard sound training can achieve.

Good luck in your upcoming contest and train hard dude.

This is why you should try to keep up. The left are demanding it and no one else but who cares what the left wants? Lol

It's totally nuts for an 18 year old to be taking steroids although I know it was common back then

Dave Palumbo recently interviewed Jorge Betancourt and I think he said he started taking Deca at 14 or 15

I can't imagine what a rush it would be to look like that at 18.

These days, I mind my own business. I'm not much concerned about people staring at my physique.

But look that good and to be that strong - at 18! - that must have been a trip.  :o

I think Coach was involved in a few other things in life other than just trying to build big muscles in his 40s and 50s.

Coach,

This is great!  Congratulations!

You deserve something higher than blue starts, if such thing existed, for Getbiggers who appear in BB magazines.   ;D

I moved around so much I never bothered keeping many mags from the golden era.
I wish I had. Pretty cool how coach was the pec example many of us older guys saw back in the day.

I really want to know why he never made it to the next level with that kind of early physique quality?

Joe Marino would've gone places but he preferred being a Coach instead.

Tim Belknap one of the first guys maybe to have unlocked the secrets of insulin as he was a diabetic, blocky physique but he held a lot of muscle would definitely have done better today where shape is not really the factor it was back then. Reminds me of a 70s Branch Warren.

I would have loved to say that’s what it was back then, but truth Be known I made a lot of wrong decisions

Fascinating....the are more sides to you than I would have guessed. Big question; would you go to an airing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show now?
