Strong fucking guy no question but take the hands off the bar when spotting. You could see his forearms flexing pretty hard on way up.In my eyes, bench shirt, hands on bar by spotter or ass off bench = no lift. Also isn’t 7 plates 675?
-
Without the spotter, that's still a 575 - 600 pound bench. Can't believe this kid hasn't injured himself yet. :-\

I am kind of amazed at that lift. He is going to rupture and or destroy his pecs and/or bi's. He's carrying very little fat. Fucking idiot.
-
It’s 675, and ... well over 100-pounds of assistance.
Still brutal strength, though.
In a meet, with a proper pause, I’d guess around 530-45-ish.

Correct, 675!
-
i think he should stop screwing around and bench 700 already!

Are you serious? If the spotter was taking 100lbs off ( from that angle ) he’d have broken his lower back.

Uhmm, no. Do people who lift 100 pounds break their lower back?? ???

If you can't lift it off the rack and then do the rep without help (including a "shirt") and without lifting your ass so high off the bench you could drive a trunk under you, then it's not a good rep. He had help getting it off the rack and on the way up. Strong, yes. But that rep wasn't all him and so it doesn't count.

Thank you.

Correct, 675!
Wasn’t calling you out on the 700 sf,thought that brad said 700.Either way strong guy and he’s prob good for a real 575 touch and go.
-
Solid joints. But for how long?

This. He should post up some real, solid, legit reps and show everyone how strong he is.
-
Wonder how much he can really do on the bench by himself
Got to be in the 405 range

It's all good!! :)
And, yes, BC is a strong dude.

Yup. It's like asking two people to hand the bar to you for a deadlift.

Chaos, are you stronger than BC?

Emotionally, mentally and physically.
So yes.

All I can really say is that nobody touches my bar when I'm lifting, if they do, I don't claim the lift.

You cant judge a gym lift before a powerlifting meet.

J
Yes. A strong man can negotiate a measly 100-pound barbell in a bench spot, man. And it won’t feel near that much.

i think he should stop screwing around and bench 700 already!
*chuckle*
For some reason this blew the cobwebs off the time when Ted Arcidi suddenly started appearing in the BB mags with the number 700 associated with him

That's some neck, and some mullet there... strong dude - all the way strong dude...
-
imagine how much he would bench if he wasnt a natural
-
Uhmm, no. Do people who lift 100 pounds break their lower back?? ???

I fear for Brad's health.

???
He is everything that one would aspire to be in this game.
A true natural freak.
-
Brad's a strong dude no doubt. That being said, it never ceases to amaze me how many people are absolutely 100% clueless on the bench press being such a popular and simple exercise.
-
???

I fear his grip will fail, and he will drop the weight on him.
I have bench pressed 345 at around 182-lb [actually, my current weight], and I was worried another 20-lb on that, and a little mistake could impale me under the weight.

I hit a sloppy 485 at 217 and felt strong.

The best in my city for anyone under 285-300+ was Dan Skaarup who bench pressed 475 at 205 after hitting an official/contest lift of 455!
If true, your lift was amazing.

It was more of a decline on a flat bench. It wasnt a legit bench by any standard. Other than I was on a flat bench when I pressed it up.
I'm surprised you haven't done a bodyweight double bench press just to have said you've done it.
-
From that angle they would.
J
You must be one weak and frail twat.
Let me guess. Your heaviest bent-row is 115 for six.
And you trashed your brittle little cheesedick back doing this monster feat.
