She liked husbands that abused her, and dated multiple men at the same time
All when the major audience saw her as an angel ;D

- Pillow Talk

Care to explain this a bit more?
-
OH NO!!! She had sooo much more to offer sociiety at 97..feel terrible....god bless her precious soul!
-
Care to explain this a bit more?
The first three movies she did with /rock Hudson were in the style of Beaumarchais...A French farceur of the 18th century.
They are marked by the clever dialog and...denoting sexual and domestic situations implied indirectly. The best was the very first one, Pillow Talk.
She made similar films with other male leads like James Garner...
Many people do not like these films because they do not understand them...but they are sterling.
-
She was great.

Which era of Cary Grant? Post War, Pre-war, or the very earliest Pre-Code?
Edit: As long as the observer is unaffected...chaos can be comedy.
-
First, embarrassed for spelling his name incorrectly. :-[
Second, I'd have to say Post War era first. Then Pre-War era. I can't say I know the really early stuff.
My favorite Cary Grant movie is To Catch a Thief.
How this guy never won an Oscar just further proves that Hollywood is a joke. ??? ::)
