Strong dude,never cared much for him though.Also why not just put dumbbells down?A month or so ago I was doing incline dumbbell presses with 150-170s and I pick them up myself press them myself then put them on my knees at end of set and stand up and put them down.I never understood throwing dumbbells.Its rude and stupid behavior imo.

I routinely use the 160-lb dumbbells for sets for 8 on the flat, and quietly place them back on the rack.
One day I put them back and clipped my finger between the rack and the dumbbell, like Gunter did in his portion of the Battle for the Olympia 2006 video. That's also funny because Gunter and I sport similar size. Although I'm 5" shorter.

I was training with dumbbells for a few months and was weighing around 250 and got up to 170s for a few good reps,believe it or not I’m stronger on incline than flat on dumbbell presses.Flat dumbbell pressing is awkward for me.They might have been 175s we have dumbbells going up to 120s and we gorilla tape and duct tape 7.5s,10s,12.5s And 5s on them to make them bigger they are covered in tape so can’t remember if 170 or 175s.Either way I’ve been lifingb for 27ish years and I train hard so I get really strong on certain things.Im good on incline dumbbells,shoulder press,barbell curl,hammer curls,dumbbells rows,dips and flat barbell bench when shoulders aren’t hurting so I have strong cycles and I run hard for a few months then step back.Im nothing special just when I focus on a movement I get good at it.

Yeah on dumbbell presses I’ve always been noticeably stronger on incline,it’s just a more natural movement with dumbbells for me and I get a good groove where as flat dB is awkward and I can’t find a comfortable groove so I do get some shoulder clicking and pain.

That said...my max bench press was 315 for 8 - full reps, but bounced.
I suspect I could have hit the 160 dumbbells on the flat for 2-4...may have required a boost/lift-off. Not sure if that translates.
Only one gym in my city goes over 140's. In fact, unless something has changed, only two gyms go to 140's. One maxes out at the 140's, and one goes over the 140's. The heaviest gym in my city is owned by Thunder Bay's Strongest Man himself, Kyle Rayner.

why bodybuilders have the Planet Fitness stereotype.
Exactly,I never understood the crazy screaming,yelling,smashing weights Just is idiotic unless doing a superhuman lift then yeah grunt and whatever but weights should not be thrown cause it bends them and is annoying.

Some air-lat douche was doing incline d-bells for chest the other day, groaning very loudly, then dropped them from top position.
(He had airbuds in, Im hoping for his benefit he just didnt know how loud he was groaning because of loud music, but). **shrug**.
I was in the seated bench near him doing some light Arnold presses at the end of my delt workout. The bell bounced once, then hit the bench I was on. (Just clanged off the bottom/base).
The kid was all apologetic (seemed nice) I just told him no need to drop them, especially from the top, people watch too many youtube vids these days.
I mentioned if youre strong enough to pick them up, youre strong enough to put them down,and at least get one more negative out of it if you do drop them, do it at the bottom of the lift.
He apologized once more and went on his way to more sets, guess what, he wasn't dropping them,nor was he grunting like a loud iron beast.

I come down all the way hence my shoulder pain but the top is about 3/4 I bottom out and come up about 3/4-4/5 then back down then on last one or two I lock out for rest.Thats how I do everything.

Only based on body weight are my lifts respectable.
I feel like both as far as onlookers go, and respect from fellow Getbiggers... everyone is considering my weight, and I am glad they do. :)
It sounds like an excuse, but...as an ectomorph body type [assuming these categories are medically valid...but as a naturally skinny guy] I feel very comfortable and healthy at my weight, and with three kids now ages 1 to 10, priorities change.
I would love to just get a wee bit stronger and hit a 370 bench at 175, or a 525 deadlift [3x body weight]. It's just tough to say if I could commit to the training and diet protocol to take me there.
That's where the temptation to increase the body weight comes in...but it would be nice to hit those targets while staying my current weight.
By the way, I didn't think your lifts were real because they are so heavy.
I have a friend who says "tons" of guys deadlift over 600. Er... I'm sorry, but I can't think of 25 guys in my city who deadlift over 600.
So when someone actually lifts what you do... I'm always a bit surprised, and need to do a double take to make sure it's real.
