Title: How / Why do so many rural Trump voters think he personally cares about them?

Politics aside, how does he get these decent , working class people to think he personally cares about them?

PS/ I didn't post any links or polls because I simply want to your thoughts and ideas on this phenomenon.

Because his policies help them.  No politician really cares about the people who vote for them in the sense that they would care for their own family.  Do you think the actual voter really cares about the politician they vote for?

Politics is a team sport now more than ever before.  We on the Trump train despise liberals and they despise us.  For years we have complained that no one on the republican side ever stands up to the media or the democrats.  Trump does this and we love it.  Judging by the meltdowns on the left, they don't.

To be fair, I saw a similar thing happen when Obama got elected.
I just don't get it?

I can understand being passionate in your support of someone and voting for them.
But how they can fabricate such irrational belief that they "personally care "?

Again, for those leftists who are slow to keep up...Trump is a symptom of your party's lack of vision, poor policy, corruption, etc.

For those in the midwest a candidate like Beto might as well be alien....the green kind, not the kind dems want storming the country.

The notion that politicians, lib or con, care about the people is laughable. They occasionally throw us a bone but for the most part just please the party and their contributors
