I remember clearly when I first saw "The Terminator". It was at a drive-in theatre with Diane Dinatale. Of course, she never heard of Arnold but I did. I was so proud and excited to see Arnold in a real mainstream movie as the star. I felt that this was more important to Arnold's fate in the movie industry than "Conan". Conan seemed more like the stereotypical muscle man movie like Hercules. He would be typecast and stuck in the genre.
That was 35 years ago. Many of you weren't even born.
And it's still going. And I'm still watching. Good to see Linda Hamilton and Arnold together again. And James Cameron is involved as well. They could have picked a more menacing looking villain but maybe it was intentional.

How is Diane Dinatale these days?

Hah. It didn't take much. Still lives in the same area. As an only child (adopted), I see she inherited her parent's house in Harbor City, CA. She lived down the street from Dan Inosanto, Bruce Lee's number one student and the guy who played "Sticks" in that Steven Seagal movie where Seagal kicks everybody's ass in that bar scene looking for "Rico" and why he killed "Bobby Lupo."
I also recognize that nose. I think she looks great being well into her fifties. Had an awesome and fun personality and a great butt. Looks to be happy and enjoying life.

pellius,
You should be upset that Hollywood is ruining the Terminator franchise.
This just shows what sellouts Arnold and Cameron are.
Arnold has so ruined his rep and career legacy that it is now beyond repair.
-
Out For Justice.
His best movie.
-
T6: Social Justice Warriors

What I watched above^^ is terrible.

Out For Justice.
His best movie.
Nah.
Above the Law and the first Under Siege are far superior.

Hey man, it's just a movie. Maybe I'll like it maybe I won't. It's not that big of a deal.
I'm not sure what you mean by Arnold ruining his rep and legacy beyond repair. If he died today he will be remembered as one of the most successful men in history. Each one of his endeavors will serve as a legacy in and of itself as it did, and does, for others. If he just stopped at bbing he still will go down in history just like Scott, Reeves, Oliva..., except greater. I just ran into the former governor of Hawaii at church and he will always be remembered in this State as the governor and people still refer to him as a governor at 93 years old. Being governor of California is considered the closest thing to being the President. And he got elected and reelected. His legacy as a politician is secure. And then there's his success as an actor. A level few ever reached. A muscle man from Austria being a movie superstar that even other stars want to have a picture with.
He is known and admired throughout the world. Just think, virtually everyone in the world knows the name Arnold Schzanegger.
He couldn't destroy his legacy even if he tried.

I was naming the movie he was referring too.

what would have been really fucking cool is if stallone shows up in the movie as rambo. to help sarah connor.

Arnold’s ruined his reputation and legacy.
He’d have been smart to retire after his political time.
Now he’s just a libbytard wreck with a string of movie failures and a huge boot print on his back.
Wanker.

I wasn't referring to your post, HN.
I was referring to Irongrip400's post.

I agree.
Betrayed his party and so-called conservative beliefs to spout nonsense.
I love that he bloviates about global warming/climate change when he drives cars like a McLaren... which gets what, 5 miles to a gallon?
Knocked up his maid and didn't acknowledge his lovechild until the story leaked. The kid was already a teenager.
His autobiography, Total Recall, was a total failure.
Nobody cares about bodybuilding except the bodybuilding cult. It will never be mainstream. When the general public thinks of him as a bodybuilder, they think of a guy using steroids and damaging his heart. Nobody believes his heart valve problem was congenital.
Sadly, the one thing he has left, a few cool movies, are now being damaged by continuing to go to the well trying to recapture past success. He can't stop Terminator movies from being made, but he doesn't have to participate in them.
What's next, a piss-poor sequel to Total Recall not written by Philip Dick?
A Conan movie worse than Conan the Destroyer?
Another Predator train wreck where Dutch fights the alien hunter from a wheelchair?
It's like an old boxer who stays in the game too long. They end up losing fights to losers and journeymen, damaging the great wins/success they had in the prime of their careers.
That is Schwarzenegger in a nutshell.
He is actually becoming a caricature of himself.

Totally agree. I don't know why it is so hard for people to walk away and enjoy their later years. This intense work ethic is like a pathology.

Jealousy to the MAX ;)

Did you notice in the trailer that they drove a truck through a wall at the Mexican border. Orange man bad!
Fuck Hollywood.

There will always be exceptions. Arnold draws huge crowds of adoring fans and is followed closely by the media because people are interested in him. His death will be front page news with documentaries honoring his life.
People can call his movies failures but anyone of those failures will make the GetBig crowd very wealthy.

Should have ended at Terminator 2.
The legacy of these franchises keeps getting butchered by further sequels.
Alien as well.

Yes. How many people still go see these terrible sequels?

Sick of the men bad woman good shit in these movies. Kind of old.
Arnold isn't ruining anything. Ronnie didn't look as good in 2007 as he did a few years earlier, we remember Ronnie at his best.
Arnold made some great movies in the 80's and 90's if he wants to make more now so be it, Hollywood runs out of ideas and remakes heaps of shit. He's gone soft, going against Trump, Global Warming bullshit. Still Arnold though.

Perhaps Arnold Like Many Before Him Believes he can Take all His $’s With Him
When He Goes & is Trying to Gather Plenty.
We should remind him He Can’t - He May be better off just enjoying all that he has.
-
I don't think Arnold is the type to sit back and "enjoy" retirement. He's program to keep moving, to keep doing. The reason he keeps expanding the Arnold Classic franchise and keeps making movies is because people want them. They make money. GetBig may not like it but some obscure bber from another part of the world now gets a chance to compete in an Arnold endorse "classic" and get the coverage he wouldn't get in his own country. And enough people go to Arnold movies simply because Arnold is in it to make it a worthwhile investment to Arnold. Even if a movie flops you can be sure Arnold is going to come out ahead. He always does. One of the most accomplished men in history.

Arnold and Normal are two words that are mutually exclusive.
