Title: IronAge Snapshot of Now-Defunt MuscleMayhem.com
Post by: Matt on May 26, 2019, 03:42:26 AM
Wow, check out this snapshot of Chad Nicholls' now-defunct bodybuilding empire, MuscleMayhem.com:

https://web.archive.org/web/20060715080305/http://www.musclemayhem.com/forums

A look inside the popular general discussion board:

https://web.archive.org/web/20070109132625/http://www.musclemayhem.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=21

This was back in bodybuilding's  coveted IronAge, when Chad Nicholls, alongside Getbig's own great leader Ron Avidan collectively controlled 50% of online bodybuilding discussions!

The four largest/most popular boards were in turn controlled by the Rothschild family.

It's very cool seeing this snapshot in time!

Very, very cool...like hopping into a time machine, and travelling back to bodybuilding's IronAge. I like it.

I wish Archive.org created technology to actually travel back in time to post on these classic pieces of the ancient internet!

Glad you enjoyed them, illuminati!

I wish I could find an archived copy of Joe Meeko's thread, as the link is on the main page posted above, but - alas, there is no public archive.

Chad Nicholls has a complete archive of the website - I hope he shares it one day.

That site had a lot of potential, but alas it became overmoderated, a Gestapo of sorts, which drove out of all of its members. I never saw another forum going extinct in that way. They were warned, but wouldn't listen.

Speaking of Nicholls, here's a recent pic of Kim and his boys -

The 12 year old had a thread here a while ago, but the other brother is a beast too at 15.

Yes:

http://anabolicmayhem.com

I like the simple format.

Hm...no new recent posts. Does anyone know if Melvin migrated to exclusively post to YouTube to enjoy increased traffic?

Whoops...did Anabolic Mayhem show up as Ripped.com?

I'm not sure about Quad V's website.

Goodrum's was "Anabolic Mayhem". It's blocked by Getbig's censor. The censor also blocks Muscle Week, which is defunct now.

I see the thread about Freak and Gen's daughter Bella is immortalized on there.  Seems appropriate, as it showed the character and community that made up that board.  I spoke with Freak a couple times on the phone, and Gen got on to say hi.  Very good peeps, and hope they are doing well!

I remember lot's of people on there would never admit to being on getbig as well which I found funny because it was clear most were up to date with what was going on here.  I went there to learn and have serious conversations, and came here for the shit talking and laughs.  It'd be interesting to see how the two would co-exist these days now that we're all older.

Anyone know why Chad took the board down?  He still calls his show the Muscle Mayhem so obviously he still has some good memories of having the site.
