Competing in 2011 Thunder's Bay's Strongest Man.
Competing in 2012 Dryden's Strongest Man.
It took me eight days to recover from the first, and feel up to working out again. The second one was exhausting in part because I was filming it for YouTube in addition to competing. I recovered quickly though.

One time at the end of a triceps workout, we added 3 sets of rope pulldowns for 15-20 reps each.
I can still feel the burn to this day.

Had many. Tempted to say my last workout.
The time I was awake for almost 24 hours. Had to run to morning mess. Then run 3 miles. It wasn't a slow pace. All under 8 minute miles. Then marching drills. 8 hours of school then no rules fighting, one hour of body weight exercises followed by a fast 5 mile run in formation. Every month a new physical thing was bought in like shooting, swimming, boxing, ground fighting and other stuff. After 6 months we all looked like aids patients. Skinny with sunken cheeks.
-
Probably a wrestling practice in high school.

Never had a workout like that there is never any need to train in such a manner.
Had a few shifts at work that came close, one day we hand dug the footings for an extension out to the usual 3ft, but when the building inspector came out he said they had to go down 6ft so we ordered a skip exchange for the next morning as we’d filled the first one, turned up the next morning and it had rained overnight which had turned to snow, there was a foot of water in the trench, possible the most miserable day at work of my life, soaked though and completely covered in clarts.
Hand digging hard sun baked dry Earth for a driveway in the summer sun is borderline torture have had a fair few of those back before mini diggers were readily available. Breaking thick concrete with a sledgehammer and a pry bar also up there.
That shit is necessary to make money, if never willingly do a workout that even comes close, unless you are a competitive athlete working out should be actually enjoyable

i worked for coke at the time stacking cases which varied in weight from 40-60 lbs. and in between i had to unload a shipment of syrup barrels weight 660 lbs each. you flipped the barrel down than rolled it to it's location than you stood the barrel back up. kind of like flipping truck tires. 200 at a clip. i once had to dig an eight foot trench around the front of my house to lay in new drainage pipes. if i'd attempt any of that now i would probably die after an hour or so. :D

Rucked 53 miles carrying 37lbs the whole time. Mostly in a torrential rainstorm, about 46 degrees.

A three-lift meet in July 2001. Afterward I got home and tried to take a nap before the
long drive to the Staples Center to see Roy Jones Jr. vs. Gonzalez. My body was buzzing
from head to toe, so I could not sleep.
In retrospect, I should’ve done some practice 3-lift workouts to better prepare my CNS.
Then there was the 2010 San Diego Gran Fondo. It rained for most of the 103 miles, so
I never properly warmed up until the climb up Honey Springs. Then descending I developed
hypothermia and nearly shivered off the road. Multiple punctures - ugh!
