It's crazy to think he's older than my grandmother - someone I've only ever known as an old lady [she will be 87 in September]. So he was 60 in 1989. Nice, long life. Well... hopefully nice. I just meant nice in that it was long.
It makes me wonder if more moderate gear cycles are more tolerable for the body. Anyone competing since, what, 1945 or a little earlier, may have been "on".
