Tyson Fury vs. Tom Schwarz (6-15-19)
Getting this thread ready for tomorrow's fight.
I'll put up the weigh in.
We are going to need some links tomorrow, GetBiggers.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of boxing's most significant stars returns for his 2019 debut as lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury takes on Tom Schwarz on Saturday, June 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Fury (27-0-1, 19 KOs) looks to come back from one of most exciting fights in recent memory when he fought to a draw against WBC titlist Deontay Wilder in December. Many boxing pundits felt Fury won the match by outboxing Wilder for the majority of the contest. Wilder
Schwarz (24-0, 16 KOs) makes the trek across the Atlantic for the first time, having fought 22 of his 24 fights in his native Germany. The 24-year-old, who has never even come close to facing a ranked opponent, has won his last six contests via stoppage.

I think this is going to be on ESPN+.
Without an account and password, we might be stuck.
-
No.
It is going to be available in the UK on PPV. There should be some online sites that will carry it.
Which means that we see it the same way we always do.
Don't count out GetBiggers to find some working links. :)
-
Cool.
-
Neither of them have big bulging biceps, so how can they fight!?
-
Only 5 bucks for ESPN+
-
Fight will be a bit boring but can you link his press conference? Those are amazing ;D
-
Man can you imagine Fury vs Ruiz for the undisputed HW championship? With the few exceptions every HW champ for the past 30 years has been chiseled.
Teddy Atlas after Ruiz won: Andy Ruiz just undid 100 years of physical fitness.
I haven't seen Schwartz fight. I hope Fury doesn't blow it like AJ did.

AJ Didn’t Blow it - He was Beaten by the Better Man/ Fighter on the Night.
-
fury cant be beaten!
all hail the gypsy king
-
Does Fury work out?

AJ Didn’t Blow it - He was Beaten by the Better Man/ Fighter on the Night.
AJ blew it. Why is Haymon trying to get the WBA/WBC to set up Wilder vs Ruiz before AJ rags lardo in Nov/Dec? Ruiz wouldn't survive a mando fight vs Fury or Whyte. Wilder will phucking decapitate him, a short fat Mexican with quick hands but slow feet.

X2. Not taking anything away from Ruiz but AJ choked and quit. AJ had the biggest fight in boxing riding on him winning. Whether he wasn't mentally fit or wasn't physically fit or just underestimated Ruiz the fact is: he blew it. Now if Haymon thinks Ruiz will be easy for Wilder we may see another upset. Ruiz will be hard for anyone but AJ has fought much better in the past and fought without any intensity against Ruiz.

No AJ Didn’t Blew it - He Got Beat - He May of well Been Physically/ Mentally unfit / Underestimated
Andy / Lost His Desire - He Still Got Beat & Quite Convincingly.
Now as For Andy vs Deontay / Fury That’s a Completely Different Subject.
As is What & How AJ Would do Against Either of those Fighters.

I think you're mincing words. I agree AJ was beaten convincingly. And in doing so he blew the biggest match in boxing.
-
After seeing Fury rise up in the last fight with that kind of puncher, there aren't too many I'd pick over him. Gyppo Christe the canvas messiah.
-
The good news in all of this is that the heavyweight division is of some interest again.
-
Boy, it sure isn't the way it used to be. ??? :P

Dictated the pace.
Shows a good jab.
-
Great fight ::)
-
Yep.
Fury in second round stoppage.
That was quick.
Kid got his nose broken for sure.
Went as expected.
-
Fury put on a boxing clinic.
2nd. round stoppage.
-
Tyson should start boxing professional opponents again ::)
He clearly, much like Triple G last week, didn't earn a title shot with that performance.
-
Fury put on a boxing clinic.
2nd. round stoppage.
I like Fury, he is the best boxer in the HW division right now but Schwarz had no business being in the same ring with Fury ,zero head movement , shit footwork............... a C level fighter

yup agreed it’s always easier too look good against that level of fighter hand picked too shine with little risk involved whatever the case he puts on a good show, not sure putting on more and more weight is a smart thing for fury perhaps he’s getting a little too comfortable after the wilder fight.
-
i dont follow boxing
was schwarz not a good fighter?
is fury avoiding any boxers?
how many other boxers could win over fury?
-

Just a stay busy fight for Fury.
He surely didn`t earn his 100million dollar contract last night.
-
Schwarz is poor/limited but Fury looked very good. Comfortably the best HW boxer right now. Impressed how slick he can be for someone that size. Love his personality too.

Ahha - He’s A Twat not to be believed under any circumstance & should be Ridiculed Constantly

Heavy weight boxing is horrible today. In the US they are all going into the NFL to make money. Very few boxing gyms to be found. Back in the day there were 20 fighters that could have beat Fury to a pulp. He's a glorified journeyman. Back in the day a fighter like this would be fighting in high school gyms for a $400 pay day.
-
Imagine what Martyn Ford would do to Fury!!! :o

The 90's was one of the strongest era's in HW history and yet there were several boxers clearly inferior to Fury who won titles during that decade (Seldon, Moorer, Bentt, Hide, Akinwande...etc).
Fury may not have been rated number one but he'd comfortably be among the better fighters of any era.

Funnily enough, Tyson's father John Fury fought and lost to Henri Akinwande in his pro days.
