It's been a pleasure watching these two from the beginning. I was worried after Agassi and Sampras retired but these two took it to another level. Who's better in your opinion? Let's stick with these two because when you cross eras the equipment and other variables make it difficult.
-
Federer is the better of the two.
GOAT? No.
Arnold is the GOAT.
-
I'm going with Roger because 1. In the only meeting he played against Pete Sampras, Roger won in 5 sets at 20 years old in RD16 of Wimbledon. 2. Roger can kick ass on any court. Nadal is king of clay. No one is touching him and rarely has Roger. But overall Roger is more well rounded and more of a threat. I love them both though. Roger needs a Nadal to push him and we as fans benefit.

Federer
On a side note, Kevin Anderson has to a hard guy to complete against... he is 6’8”.

The ideal height for tennis is 6'1.
Most of the champions have been that height.

At both their peaks, Nadal was better, Im thinking around their 2007-08 wimbledon final, that nadal is the best player ive ever seen.If you want to go by “greatest” not best, then probably federer because he never had the injuries nadal had and was in the running every year.Nadal without injuries is the greatest and best player with the most slams, no ifs, no buts.

Both in their primes all things even on Grass courts...a prime Nadal (injury free) could cover the court @ speed better (arguably) than anyone in history he was the ultimate fighter/work horse there was no quit in him no matter what he’d drive himself too the ground no matter how many hours into a match he would go.
Federer in his prime was the master artist nobody (sans Borj) ever made the game look so easy his shot selection and shot execution was a thing of beauty watching a prime Federer casually dissecting his opponents breaking them with that artistry.
I’d give the slight (very slight) edge too Federer on hard courts more so due too his shot selection and execution of them @ the crucial moments.
On clay...in his prime Forget it..nobody we have seen so far in history would stand a chance against Nadal.

Federer isnt even better than Djokovic.Between 2003 and 2006 when the best players were an 18/19 year old Nadal and a near retirement Agassi, Federer won 9 slams. I won’t include 2007 to be lenient to Federer. He didn’t have 1 star to contest him on all surfaces for 5 years straight.
Meanwhile Djokovic started winning slams in Wawrinkas, Murray’s, federers and nadals primes. If you switched Novak and feds positions, Federer would probably just scrape 10 slams, compared to Djokovics 15. He’s just not the goat and once everything is said and done, it’ll be quite obvious that he’s the worst out of the 3. I’m not even a Proper fan of anyone in the 3. I’m just laying out the facts.

Judging by grand slams I'd say Federer. HOWEVER, two of the grand slams are on hard courts so... if two of the grand slams were to be on clay, Nadal would probably have more than 30 and Federer only 10 or 11.
Personally, I want both to be GOAT.
They both deserve it because they've made the sport so popular that every one around it is making money.

Michael Chang. Great quads.

Fed is the greatest of all time in tennis at the moment, but Nadal's 12 French Open titles are an incredible stat for him. Nobody has ever dominated any of the other tournaments the way he has in Paris. And Fed has a significant losing head to head against Nadal too - which doesn't do him any favours in this discussion.
The way Nadal dominates on clay, it's not hard to imagine him continuing to rack up titles at the French and overtake Federer. Then it'll be a numbers vs variety discussion (which will have to include Djokovic).

cannot be a GOAT unless time has stopped. in anything.
if anyone had a brain they may say "best there has been so far"

I've guarantee that in my life I've played more tennis than you Wiggs, haha. Not in a long time though. I stopped playing when getbig advised me a giant secret planet was smashing us all to bits. ;D
We should be more concerned with the beta taurid meteor shower about to happen.

It’s either high school students or older people. Not too many people in between.

Tennis is for phaggots.

This final is an intense battle. Not quite an intense a battle as the Mr Olympia contest but still intense.

How much money does Federer have? How much does Djokovic have?
How do you compare? Probably not very well.

Right on. Anyone that bashed on tennis has never played and probably can’t play. I excelled at football and baseball - was good in high school basketball but not tall enough or super talented enough to dominate. Tennis was the hardest by far. Some of it was because I didn’t start as young as other sports, but it’s just not an easy sport to master.
I can’t really say on Federer or Nadal. Both can be dominating.

The US Open final between Nadal and Medvedev has been going on for about 5 hours now
-
Nadal just won it
-
Nadal for sure imo. Only one behind Fed in slams now. Plus in head to head matchups he’s way ahead.

Yep. I love Nadal's heart and grit. One of the best of all time in heart in grit.
I think we're gonna see Rafa pull away with Grand Slams. Novak may catch him depends on injuries etc. By far my favorite Big 3 in all of sports.
Btw, props to Daniil Medvedev. He's a great young talent. I'm a fan since his incredible summer on hard courts this year.
