I have a physique that's comparable to many IFBB Pro's in Men's Physique or high ranking NPC men's physique athletes but I have less than 100 followers on instagram, how to grow your following? I don't understand how some of these guys have 100k+ followers. I see other instagram profiles who are "Fitness" athletes who are 20%+ bodyfat and look fat and have 13 inch arms and have 10k+ followers, never understood this. I have a very similar physique to Steven Cao or Jeff Seid who are both IFBB Pro's both who have 500k+ instagram followers

Try checking out popular fitness tags that people search for when doing their browsing. Include those tags in your content and you'll pop up in the searches as well. Also, try marketing yourself outside of IG and link back to your profile. One more way is to ask your followers to tag their friends on a post that goes "Tag a buddy who's favorite day is chest day!" or something like that.

Also, take pics with influencers but beware, most of these fitness “influencers” with hundreds of thousands and millions of followers, are bought. But yes, content content content....good content with popular hashtags, if you do IG stories, use hashtags. IGTV is also a great way to gain followers and IMO a better reach than YouTube but be sure to plug your YouTube channel in your IGTV message. IGTV only allows a 10min video which should be plenty of time to take that video, post it to YouTube then distribute it.

I don't really get it either. My ex niece, about 17 years old now started posting benign photos a few years ago asking silly girl questions like "Does this ring look good with this sweater" and now she has 250K followers and gets a ton of merchandise to take pictures with and travels all over. Its just a bunch of teen age girls that follow her so maybe that's your answer. Adults shouldn't be following anybody but family and friends. Maybe Sofia Vergara
