How could most of them dedicate so much time to lifting weight, yet they do not even look like they lift weights. ??? ???

They look like they lift weights.
>
Doug Hepburn, strongest man of his time early 1950s.
He won weightlifting gold medals in the 1953 World Weightlifting Championships as well as the 1954 British Empire Games in the heavyweight division. He is also known as the first man to bench press 400, 450, and 500 pounds (raw).

They sure look like they lift weights, and that they can lift some serious poundage as well.
They are not ripped nor having goals to stand on the stage in glittery thongs striking the pose of cancer. They are not bodybuilders per se, but probably just weightlifters/powerlifters.
Clearly they do not care about looking good (symmetry, lower bodyfat, visible abs, lean face, as in attractive to the opposite sex) but maybe they are more into trying to look intimidating to guys.
They look like tattooed retards, but i'm sure they're happy.
I'm not as lean as i was when i was in my 20s-30s (after 40 i gained some mass, and not quality mass :D) either so whatever floats their boat.

Let me reframe my question:
For all that lifting, why don't they look a lot better? ??? ???

They're probably Mohican/Mojitos/Mexican, so part genetics and part diet.
Mexican cuisine of peace.

Because they don't track their calories and macros. Hence, they are not bodybuilders.

Haha yes, looks like a fat mexican.
They're probably Mexican the whole lot.
So, the mexican genetics + the mexican diet (lots of shitty fat food) and no cardio or caree of burning fat.
Their only desire is probably to look "as big" as possible regardless of quality of mass, and to be able to lift as much as possible.
Mexican cuisine of Peace.
They probably party a lot (drink alcohol and maybe even drugs) and live an unhealthy gang-lifestyle as well.

They don't use any cutting drugs or if they do it is small amounts in comparison to the Test, Deca, Anadrol, etc. They want to be big and strong, fat adds to the size and strength so they don't care. I can understand this mindset, not everyone wants to be ripped and defined, some prefer sheer size and power in the gym.
Just my thoughts my friend, you are an intelligent dude what do you think?

They eat too much ice cream and not enough fruits and vegetables. :D :D

Gayer than the Girl Scouts
-
them are some strong, fat bodies like our current heavyweight champion's.
andy ruiz destroyed the ultimate bbc bodybuilder with his safety fat being the key.
coach vince basille has been proven right again.

Haha love it! Rich Piana was the same, remember all that Ben and Jerrys he would eat?! Didn't do him any favors unfortunately. Rich was on some serious GH though, he stayed low body fat despite all the ice cream and shite he ate!

Good point, Andy Ruiz opened some eyes there. Was amazing to see the tubby, little fella KO the muscled and ripped Joshua.
-
Ah man he’s got those fat ass tits that wrap around to his back.
Unfortunate.

he showed that fat people can be athletic. and it might be true that muscle weight is more taxing for a boxer than fat. joshua was blowing hard within a few rounds in that fight while ruiz seemed ok, even after taking that heavy knockdown.
problem is that most of the time people are fat because they are lazy.

Great post. I agree - whatever floats their bloat.

They look like serious weight trainers.

Not to be a total smartass, but they eat like pigs. Their strongest guy is a beast, but there's no way he got that fat without eating everything in sight.

And likely horribly out of shape and unhealthy.

Can’t have the level of body fat and be healthy.
But, hey, they are serious lifters!! Whatever it takes!

Something tells me they’re not concerned with being “healthy”.
You know, Strength Cartel and all that.
::)
And for what they do, they are probably considerably “in shape”.

Fucking MS 13 gang banger homeys... ::)

Go look at strongmen physiques. They are at over 20% bodyfat. The most ripped guy is not the strongest guy. Larry Wheels and Mariusz Pudzianowski are exceptions. But they are also not as ripped as some bodybuilders.

OP must have a thing for these boys.

Except most who compete in strongman (not Matt) are giants and actually look massive and like they train.

Jon Pall Sigmarssson did the bodybuilding/strongman back in the eighties, when it was still possible..
He won the WSM in '84 and '88 and the Iceland Bodybuilding Championshio thing too , going from 309 (140 kg) lb to 243 (110 kg) lb.

Do you know if that spinal hump is from squatting...or just genetic? Johnnie O. Jackson has it too. I know he squatted heavy. He had a tumor on his lung a couple years back. I hope he's ok.
Odd question, I know. Just thought to ask since you seem to know a lot about heavy lifting.
RIP Jon Pall.

Here's perspective for you - in 2016, I threw my hat into the local open heavyweight "Motors & Muscles" contest, on its 10th anniversary.
The average competitor weight was 245-lb. I was 170-lb, and placed last. I impressed by not getting zero in any event, and made the front page of the local sports section. :D
It was pretty heavy...950-lb tire flip, 8,900-lb Monster Truck pull, etc.
The perspective here being...the 175-lb CAASA Nationals was lighter...
What I like about now having a weight class [since 2016] is that guys at 175-lb can only get so strong... meanwhile, WSM today is so heavy, it almost pains me to watch it.
I could be on point with a 315/405/495 total [strong by normal people standards...not by WSM or Getbig standards], and literally not even BUDGE any implement.
Blows my mind.
Mateusz set the world circus dumbbell record last year with a 330-lb dumbbell...at age 25!!!
I can't even fathom how that's possible.
Oh...and I'm 5'8.5". :D
Everything else you said about me is bang on though.
I would love to get back to my best shape...or even 355/435/525...but at my age, without gear...I wouldn't bet on it. Also, I fear for my joints just watching contests these days.
Tommy's recent squat video was inspiring though.

Jon Pall Sigmarssson
first time seeing him on espn compete against OD Wilson - they had some event running around a track with bricks on their back :)
John Pall is proof of Viking genetics - there are some men who truly have vikings genetics - the American fighter Brock Lenser comes to mind. (from Dakotas, Minnesota) where many Nordic relocated.

Brock Lenser is almost as tough as his cousins Brick Linsner and Brock Lesnar.

Whatever the case the dude holds several American and National records and they managed to create a hell of a brand for themselves.

Who’s more dangerous, the Cali Cartel or the Strength Cartel?
-
This is horrible. There is absolutely no reason to look like this, just to lift a lot of weight.
