Title: Eddie Hall: The 500kg Deadlift World Record - unedited single shot!
Post by: obsidian on June 30, 2019, 01:30:01 AM
Great shot. You can see Kazmaier and Pritchett watch on as Eddie lifts 500 kg! Pritchett pulled 465 kg that night himself along with Benedikt but pulled his hamstring attempting 500kg. Kazmaier thought he would be the one to pull it and not Eddie.

I wonder how much he was paid for this lift. He told Brian Shaw he threw a huge number at promoters that would set himself up for life after pulling 463 kg and they agreed to it thinking there was no way in hell he would make it.

His dad was one of the camera guys and when Hall was out of breath trying to make a speech his dad motioned to him to put the mike down and Eddie said: "Fuck off mate" and continued talking. Lol!

Hope he got a lot of money for that record. Both strongman and bodybuilding are terrible for your health

In most other sports athletes make 100 x more money with far less risk  (tennis, golf, etc etc)

Of course. Not everyone can be a champion golfer like Nicklaus  or Woods etc. Woods' back has also been fucked up with golf. Plumbers, carpenters and electricians have fucked up bodyparts from doing their trade. Everyday is terrible for your health because you are dying as we speak.

I fear for your health!  ;D

The figure of £1,000,000 is what I was told from an associate of his.

They reckon he was close to 500 in training for a long while but held back in competitions just doing enough for a while before doing the 500. Not sure if true but would explain the sudden large jump in weight

Wow, that was on another level.  I've pulled a lot of multi rep sets on deadlifts that have destroyed me for 15-30 minutes after, but I've never pulled a single that left me on the floor like that (and I regularly burst a lot of blood vessels in my face and shoulders, pulling).

I’m not sure if true but he had a mini stroke after that lift?

Yes apparently so.
He was waiting for the Big £ offer.

Getbiggers would not have been out of breath after the lift and would have run a 20 mile marathon then go to the club after.

He’s a Big strong beast no doubt but Larry wheels impressed me more.

Honestly he should just retire now and lose weight, I don’t see that record being topped anytime soon. He has nothing more to prove, an absolute beast!

It's not a true deadlift but a strapped deadlift.

I am pretty sure Larry Wheels himself will agree Eddie's deadlift is more impressive than anything he has lifted to date. Not taking away anthing from Larry. Eddie's 500 kg deadlift is one of the most impressive lifts ever.

I believe he did retire and is trying to lose weight and get ripped. He has abs showing at 160 kg / 352 lbs bodyweight right now.

It's not a true deadlift but a strapped deadlift.
Benedikt Magnusson holds the unstrapped deadlift record of 460 kg I believe and he has not been able to pull 500 kg with straps. He tried at the same 2016 World Deadlift Championship and failed and declared Eddie Hall the king in his own words after Eddie was successful.
