Is there something i can do to flush the crank shaft? At first i had n error code for crankshaft position sensor
-
Cps usually works of the flywheel or the crankshaft pulley and wouldn't be effected by overfilling the oil

WHY on earth would you do something so boneheaded? ::)
Look up over-filling and foaming...
-
Drive it a block or two on its side-only wheels, Dukes-style.
Get back to me.

Take to garage or find someone with a OBD reader & reset / Clear the Fault codes
It’s likey tripped the Engine Management into “Safe mode” Low power
A simple reset should cure it & Quick Easy To Do.

What do i need to do then

Yes it’s gone into “Safe Mode & Reduced Power”
It should be a simple fix with a code reader & reset.

can i buy the gizmo that does this i hate paying a mechanic

Try what illuminati said first, failing that take out the cps and clean it sometimes they can clog with swarf if the car has a dual mass flywheel.

Yes go to a auto spares shop they’ll have a few in stock
Like everything else they vary vastly in price
They are a plug in device usually into the socket under dash board
I’d go try a Garage / Home Mechanic for a Quote as it really is a
Quick simple job & shouldn’t charge much at all.

problem is the cps is hidden. I tried to take off the drive shaft to get to it but snapped my wrench on the nut, cant even get a socket on it

Leave all alone & go do what I’ve said 1st.
Chances are you could damage other parts unnecessarily.

Depending on the model often you can take out the driveshaft from the back of the hub by removing the cv boot and taking out the circlip and driveshaft slides out the hub. If you do need to remove the hub nut check that a section hasn’t been punched into a slot in the thread as often they were rather than using a split pin, if it’s just tight use a flogging spanner and copper mallet, often the tightest of nuts come of easy when flogged

I agree try what illuminati said first. If it goes back into limp mode then investigate further

The CPS 99% of the time is located at the top of the engine
And I’m fairly certain they are on them engines - Well they are
Over here in the U.K.
I’ve not heard or ever had to take the drive shaft out to change one.

Glad that happens to you too - I was worried I was the only one with that problem... ;D

That'll be the camshaft position sensor mate, the crankshaft position sensor works off either the flywheel or the crankshaft pulley, I’ve also never had to take a shaft out to change one but also haven’t worked on car in over 10 years and engine bays are fucking packed these days

Yes - I’m aware of that & know where and how the camshaft sensor usually is
You’ll also find the Crankshaft senior positioned around the top of the engine
Rather than underneath.
I work on cars most days - worse fooking luck.

Both vehicles in my household have the crank sensor on the lower half of the engine the Mrs car is on the crankshaft pulley and my van it’s where the gearbox meets engine about halfway down working off the flywheel. Not saying you are wrong just in my experience that’s where they have always been closest I’ve seen to the top of the engine was above the starter but I haven’t worked on modern cars (2012 +)

yeah my 97 path location is in a terrible location for any visuals or even to get my hand on it
I bought a 20 dolar code reader from walmart it jus gave me a knock sensor code..... I spliced a new knock sensor on top of my engine about 4 years ago

You may be able to reset it yourself depending on the year. Google your year and fault code reset. There's a module near the seat on some models.

How could i try a hard shutdown of the -ecu-?
Right now the service engine soon light is off, but engine is real jumpy n weak . Ignition starts up fine

You’re either deliberately being obtuse or your just thick
I’ve given you the quickest & simplest option to potentially
Sort your problem - yet you ignore it & carry on with more
Nonsense. It’s a 5minute job & shouldn’t be expensive,
The way you’re going you’ll likely cause some serious problems.
-
On a 97 unhooking the battery is a hard shutdown. ;D
-
This morning i managed to get up to 60mph runnin fine then it started accelarating real weak and ideling rough n weak soI barely made it to the mechanic i told him the issue he said keep driving it maybe my exhaust is plugged up. His shop looked very Not busy even though place was big i guess too hot . Well on wayhome i couldnt keep my rpms elevated and died. So i got it towed home and waited a few hours i got it to fire up just real rough n weak on the rpms.....could i keep it slightly revved in the 2000rpm range when in park for lie 20 min would that help

His brains are fried bro. Haven't you seen all the stupid threads he comes up with? His brain management is tripped and in "safe mode" and requires a reset.
Good job trying though...

Scrapyard ;), buy Toyota Hilux :)

Yes of course I forgot that - More Fool Me.
I see he’s still posting stupid crap about it
He’ll be Crying when he does properly fuck it up
And it needs repairs.
Unless of course he’s just posting Crap & There’s
Actually Fcuk all wrong with his Vehicle.

I want to clean my exhaust manifold . Do i clean it from the intake manifold throttle carb?
-
It would be easier if i had scanner tools and a hydraulic lift like most do here. But i dont think playing with scan tools is the approach to take
