Saturday night.
-
Pacquiao will win a decision.
Boring fighter now.
Old and has lost his power.
Should retire once and for all.
Will watch for free. Will not pay.
-
If he still has the speed and footwork , I take Pac.
-
Manny looked like the PacMan of old in his training videos.
I got Manny by decision.
-
When are these two latinas fighting?
-
I'm going to go with pac man by tko.

When are these two latinas fighting?
Saturday.
-
If Pacquiao was 5-6 years younger, Pacquiao in 6 or 7. Pacquiao is 40 years old at present and has a lot of other things on his mind now. .
Thurman, one of my current favorites, is an excellent boxer. Saturday night, Thurman by a KO in round 5 or 6. It's a fight that really should not have been made, but money is money. Just hate to see former greats go out like Pacquiao, taking fights they don't need too.

Similar to Porter fight. Manny lunges and can't cut off the ring while Thurman throws punches you don't even see b/c he is so unorthodox. Easy win for Thurman and goes MIA again, hiding from Spence and Crawford.
-
Pacquiao wins a UD.
Thurman throws looping punches and even with being 40, Pac is quicker both with his hands and feet and throws straighter punches.
-
Thurman imo will catch pac-man sooner or later rushing in, Thurman for the stoppage 5-8 rounds.
-
Pacquiao has been washed up for 5 years. This fight is all hype.
-
Elsewhere, there are a few potentially decent heavyweight fights tonight.
Whyte vs. Rivas
Chisora vs. Szpilka
Price vs. Allen
Let the search for links begin, getbiggers.

lets the search for a job begin so grown men can pay for boxing and stop searching for handouts like a bunch of bums
or let the search for real life friends begin so people can watch the fight together and pay for it together cutting the cost down to 1/10th

Fights aren't good enough (or important enough) that I would waste good money on them, cupcake. :-*

Pacquiao just put Thurman on his ass at the end of the first round. :o

Thurman has landed some nice crosses, but he's being out-hustled.
-
Thurman is turning it around.
Pacquiao may have shot his wad.

Pacquiao may have shot his wad.
Yeah, so let's see who wants it more. A competitive bout.
-
Vicious Pacquiao shot to Thurman's liver.
Holy shit.
-
Thurman needs a knockout.
Pacquiao should still go after him though.
-
Pacquiao should have it.
I wonder if Thurman may have a couple of broken ribs.
-
Manny wins
-
MANNY WON
-
Manny Pacquiao by a split decision.
It should have been a unanimous decision.
One judge had it 115-112 for Thurman. ??? ::)
What fucking fight was he watching? >:(
Joke.

The judge who gave it to Thurman actually had it 114-113. That is 7-5 in rounds. That is not ludicrous. It's not my card. I thought 7-5 Manny or 6-6 Manny was about right. 6-6 Manny because of the knockdown he still wins.
It was a very, very good fight. I think it exceeded most peoples expectations. Manny may have "gotten old" after the 5th round. I think Thurman may have been on his way to pulling it out until Manny hit him with that body shot in the 9th or 10th round. What a display by both guys. Both fought excellent fights. Displayed high level skill and great chins and tough bodies. They both did some savage body punching. Great night for boxing. Glad the judges got it right. While I disagree with Manny's views (politically) he is a very decent, classy human being. Keith Thurman should be back and hopefully better. Total class act as well.
I don't really want to see Manny fight Spence Jr. I fear that Spence would end his career. But, you never know until they fight. I'd like to see Manny and Floyd do it again. The 1st fight sucked and probably sucked because Manny was a one arm fighter. I'd like to have seen how Floyd would have dealt with the Manny from last night.

Manny should have truly gotten a unanimous decision.
That judge should be barred from judging anymore fights.

No Wes. You are wrong. 7-5 Manny is the right card. 7-5 Thurman means that there were two close rounds that one of the judges sitting ringside scored for Thurman. I scored it for Manny but there were definitely 2 close rounds that one could argue keith could have won. Keith outlanded him overall and in more of the rounds keith landed more. Keith landed a higher percentage of punches and landed more power punches. It was very good if not great fight. Very, very close fight. I feel the right guy won.

You`re right,I was exaggerating somewhat.
Did you see the knockdown in Round 1?
Then the crippling bodyshot that made Thurman spit his mouthguard into his hand and run.
Keiths face after the fight looks like he just took a straight up ass whipping.
Keith landed more, but Manny landed the more devastating/telling blows.
All the shit talking by Keith pre-fight,made this victory more satisfying for me personally.
All the best! :)

Yes, I saw both. Those two moments were the fight. Keith would have won the first round and the bodyshot stopped Keith's momentum. That fight had turned in Keith's favor prior to the bodyshot. What a fucking testament to Keith's conditioning to be able to stay in the fight after being hit like that. Lesser men would have been doubled over and out for the count.

The Mayweather two fight will be another snore fest. Floyd loves to run and fight defensively. Manny is not good at catching running fighters and it will make him look sloppy. Mayweather will win on points not putting a scratch on Manny's face. You know what I'm saying is the truth.
-
I thought the fight was competitive, but Pac won pretty clearly. 115-112.

No, not really. If you've ever seen Floyd fight, you'd know he is not a runner. Much like Pernell Whitaker (RIP) he stays pretty much in front of guys and makes them miss then makes them pay. Manny was a one armed fighter the 1st time. Floyd's reflexes will not be what they were 4-5 years ago. This would be an entertaining fight but I doubt it happens.

He runs all the time. A very defensive fighter. Maybe not a runner in the classic sense but he such a defensive fighter winning much of his fights on points. Whitaker was another fighter I hated. If you're not there to fight but win on points take up figure skating. How many Pernell fights went the distance? Way too many. How many fighters never got rocked by Mayweather but lost on points. Way too many. At least Manny fights an opponent.

Right on
Thurman mentally cashed out a long time ago when Spence 15-0 when he started calling him out) and Crawford showed up in the division. I noticed the yahoos are in full swing saying Manny can beat Spence and Crawford now

No one in this thread has said such a thing. In fact it's been the opposite.

Exactly. I don't want to see him fight Spence. Crawford isn't an option given the Top Rank/PBC divide. I do think Manny will end up fighting Spence next year.
I think Crawford beats Spence if they ever fight. Unless they wait til Crawford gets too old. But, I think Manny would do better with Crawford than he would Spence. The old styles make fights adage.
If Manny continues to fight and I'm managing him in terms of his health/best interests/most winnable fights? Mayweather, Mikey Garcia, Amir Khan or Canelo for the history books.
Mayweather might beat him, but he'll make a fortune and won't get hurt.
Mikey would be a big name that Manny could look good against. Plus, if he stops Mikey he can say even Spence didn't do that. Plus, there has been some bad blood between the Garcia's and team Pacquiao.
Amir Khan because it's a big money fight overseas and Manny will be able to get to him and eventually stop him.
Canelo? Manny won't take a beating because if Canelo lands big shots, he'll stop Manny. HUGE money plus if Manny has one more performance like the one from Saturday, he may be able to get a points win. If Manny were to somehow beat Canelo he would probably have to be considered top 10 p4p of all time.
What I actually think happens is that Manny will next fight over in in Asia or the middle east against Amir Khan. Assuming a Pacquiao victory, his next and second to last fight will be a late round stoppage loss against Errol Spence Jr. I think Freddie will end up saving Manny from himself sometime after the 8th round. He'll fight once more, maybe in the Philippines just as a farewell fight.

Great seeing Manny win even in the twilight of his career. A legend and still fun to watch. Would like to see him retire now though.
-
115-112 is the right call. If the 1st round knockdown doesn't happen or the liver shot, it was about tied. Great fight, definitely cements his place as a top 20 all time fighter in my mind. That being said, I'm not sure where he goes from here.
