if it was only that easy Geneva protocol will not allow it we didn't follow it when we dropped a bomb on japan and we killed thousands of civilians....

AGREED but its Britain's fight the men were not harmed or killed so far im not saying its not fair play but we cannot just drop atom bombs on every nation who pulls this shit if so it would lead to every nation who hates us to join in and drop bombs on us..it sucks but sometimes youre hands are tied I was a marine so im always about protect your own..

That ship was operating in breach of international sanctions though.

It doesn't really matter. If you seize a ship that belongs to a nation then that nation is bound to retaliate. Sanctions imposed by EU officials are about as meaningful to Iran as sanctions imposed by Iran would be to EU nations.
