Sylvester Stallone is a real inspiration to me, I think he is a great artist but I don't know about this one. If its genuine expression, fine, but it just seems like a forced attempt to be politically correct and "relevant". This was from Movieweb and I thought maybe a goof but was in Hollywood Reporter and he did interviews in Cannes that Winkler has picked up the project to produce.
Stallone's New Rocky Idea Takes on Immigration & Deportation
Kevin Burwick. Movieweb.
Sylvester Stallone already has ideas to keep the Rocky franchise moving forward. The actor recently retired from the Rocky Balboa role after two very successful Creed movies, but he may have to return at least one more time to introduce a new undocumented immigrant boxer, according to a new interview with the actor. Stallone is currently doing some press for his upcoming Rambo 5: Last Blood, which may be the last time he portrays John Rambo on the big screen.
The new Rocky idea would have Stallone's Rocky Balboa character training an undocumented immigrant boxer who ends up getting deported. "(Rocky) finds this fella in the country illegally and it
becomes a whole thing," says Sylvester Stallone. The main chacacter would have to fight his way back into the country while also taking Balboa out of his comfort zone in another country. The actor anticipates it would also be a way to step aside from the franchise and let it continue on without him.

These are topical storylines and interesting concepts.
Good for Stallone.

I've been a Stallone fan for years, but if he makes this, I will refuse to watch.
-
Been a fan ever since his most popular classics such as
"The Party at Kitty's and Stud's" , "Bananas" (who also featured a young Woody Allen) , "The Sidelong Glances of a Pigeon Kicker " and "The Lords of Fat Bush" ,
but if he is pushing the immigrant-agenda, i will refuse to watch and will leave Go4It's Fanclub forever.
I hope this is a False Flag.

Nothing wrong with that , real life stories that will make you feel inspired, sad and shocked , based on true stories of boxing world champions , either el Perro Angulo or Carlos Molina

Nothing wrong with the topic, and if it represents the subtle expression of Rocky I hope its great. Just seems that the topic is so politically charged right now, it might be an attempt to make Rocky relevant again in a bit of a forced way. But he always pulls it off and I'll be the first in line for any new Rocky movie. It just feels a bit forced to have that topic right now, as opposed to just speaking through the experience of the character, and letting relevancy handle itself. Not hating on the guy as he's an inspiration to me. Hope it's great.

Seriously Sly as a right winger should make a Rambo where Rambo uses no guns but it's the most violent Rambo ever with knives, his bow and arrows and a ton of creative ways to kill just to shut up anti gun people that insist guns cause violence.

Creed was crap !.
-
Agreed.
And this story does not surprise me.
He wanted to do a Rambo about fighting aliens.
-
His sequels are so bad I question whether he really wrote Rocky 1 and Rambo 1.

Different times and outlook - Stallone is pretty talented but he has faded and like the rest of the crew doesn't get the message nature is sending.

KWON said "It's time for Go4It (Gianfranco) to take over Stallones mantle now."
And I gotta admit that that would be a great idea for an interesting screenplay .... and Stillone wouldn't even have to be in it thereby saying $10,000,000 up front!
Go-4, or someone like Go4, could be an avid fan of RAMBO's and decides to continue on with Rambo's exploits ... but within a peace-time environment ... something like running amoak in NYC while bringing peace to Harlem ... or something.
Everything he does was learned from watching all those Rambo flicks over and over and getting into physical shape to snare the bad guys ... just like Rambo did!
I'd buy a ticket!
And, KWON, you'd get producer's credit.
Or has this potential blockbuster already been done by some young kid which I think I already 'thunk' about?
