I've been at least 6 to 8 times, but I live only 6 hrs away.
How many GetBiggers actually go?
-
getbiggers avoid it because regular people think they are competitors

This is my 22nd Olympia (I think)

Great 👍🏻
As stated previously

Out of those you’ve seen ?
-
4 of them.

Best Mr. Olympia? In terms of being respectful, and giving back, Jay Cutler. Always understood a lot! In terms of muscularity, many of them were good.
Most impressive was Ronnie Coleman, one of the early years in which he won, probably the most incredible bodybuilder of them all.
Most underrated was Flex Wheeler. He should of won one year, he looked absolutely incredible, and was cocky as hell back then.
-
It's on my bucket list. 2021 I reckon I'll make it
-
I saw the 1998 Mr Olympia at Madison Square Garden. Ronnie Coleman won.

Horse shit. There was NO Olympia that he should have ever won.

Totally agree, Dorian 93 was untouchable and whilst I think Flex at his best beats Ronnie at his best. He never brought his best physique against him.
I have been to 4 olympias.
-
i've been to all O's since 1999 except for 3...
-
For those that have gone, how do you hide your chubbs? Are the programs large enough to cover? What if you have to do a standing ovation for Arnold, or Ronnie or something. Asking for a friend.
-

I was there as well since I lived an hour away. It was the last one held away from Las Vegas.

One:the 1990 in Chicago.

Flex was far from underrated imo, maybe even a bit overrated to a degree , he looked phenomenal early on (like many early bbers) but him playing the size game destroyed his lines with excess oil and weird looking shoulders and calves
-
Does staying in the mirage hotel next to the ice machine count?
-
Out of the Olympia winners I’ve seen
Dorian (93) was the most impressive
Front on the Freakiest I’ve seen have to be Paul Dillet / Markus Ruhl
-

Fact ;D

Not Mr. O, but I have been to a few.... the prejudging absolutely sucks. Don't get me wrong, you can go to it and pretty much know who is going to win without having to sit through the faggotry of the night show.
And not knocking the thong warriors on stage... but it's the people in the audience that are fucktwits to have to be in the company of. There seems to be a mandatory percentage of audience members who show up (perma bulkers whose off season never ends) with fucking coolers big enough to move a dead body in.... sitting there ever two hours pulling out chicken and rice to eat and/or mixing protein shakes. I'm sitting there thinking 'if your fat ass did this for three months instead of a few hours once a year, you might look like a bodybuilder instead of a bodyblobber." Or the retards that come there with every inch of their body from the hairline down, plucked/waxed/and pro tan stained.... not even competing.
This, ahem... "sport" truly attracts some of the most delusional, mentally twisted people of all races/religions/cultures.

Been to three, 1988, 1990, 1993.

ridiculous ::)
show me the flex physique that would've beaten ronnie at his best

I went once and that was enough to not go to another.

93 Ironman, 93 ASC.

I never went to an Olympia but several Night of the Champions. I remember two of them the competitors walked in the same door as the public and left the same main door. Saw some of the biggest stars of the day and you could just walk up to them and BS. Just a few were Mentzer, Zane, Padilla, Katz, Grant, Robby and many others. Some guest posed like Mentzer and Zane. Others competed. Seeing Robby at his best I was shocked how small he looked in his track suit. I'm guessing he looked about 210lbs max. When he took the track suit off he was the clear winner. Katz wasn't competing but in street clothes he dwarfed all the other bodybuilders. Zane in street clothes looked no bigger than me but even in off season condition looked amazing on stage. Bill Grant put on some show with his posing. Mike Mentzer guess posed and looked really thick.

i always thought those versions were highly overrated, but you have taken it to another level
ronnie was much bigger, conditioned, and more complete
ronnie made 98 and 99 flex look like a child, 93 would like his hand puppet on stage

I agree
At their best Ronnie is the better bber and wins hands down, he’s too big for flex
Just like saying dexter is the better bber than Shawn ever was

Fact ;D
2020 Olympia should be @ Sydney Opera House , TONY take action ;)

Wooow. That was a good post

I was there last year. A long time close friend of mine competed.

I'll make some calls 8)
Is Tony a GetBigger? Never seen him on here, but would not be surprised.

I’m embarrassed and sorry to say that I have never been. And I live in LA which is not that far from Vegas. There were always conflicts such as work, social obligations, prior commitments, whatever, that prevented me from going. That includes this year (I’m a very busy person).
-
Attempted to once but alas didn't leave Drais until noon. The bumps got the best of me that night/morning.

Why hide something that is a perfectly normal reaction? :o

What exactly is more important than the MR O?
The worlds greatest prize
-
0 interest in attending bodybuilding shows.

Went to 96.
-
is it 6 or is it 8 ?
your imaginary lack of recall means you are lying
I went a few times mid 2000's, and this year is 5 straight, so it's 8.
-
Honestly, The last two years have basically been Tijuana in Nevada, outside of the Olympia. So incredibly happy there is no GGG/Canelo fight this year. Kind of ruined Vegas for me. I live in San Diego, get enough of that already.
